My October Visit to Connecticut
My October Visit to Connecticut --- I shall be in Stamford, Connecticut, and available for In-Person Sessions from Saturday, October 17th, through Thursday, October 29th.
Autumn 2009
The season of this Autumn continues the alchemical process, a period of purging and eliminating, a season of deathing in order to provide the fodder for a rebirth. Like nature in the Northern Hemisphere with the leaves falling from the trees and the skeletal structure of branches, limbs and trunk exposed, we may feel as though during this Autumn we are being stripped down to the bare bones, being rid of excesses and cut to the essence of our very being. There is a purging going on, a dropping away of those characteristics of our lives that have served their purpose and now prove no longer functional for us.
Insanitus Depravitus
During this so-called Information Age, it is disconcerting how little information is revealed. Oh, there is more than enough information about this celebrity, that celebrity, diet items, health fads and all the trendy things that most people consider as making up the substance of their lives. But important information seems to be less nowadays rather than more… ironic for a time often denoted as an Information Age.
September
September is a time when we get back to our normal routine, although normal is hardly the word to describe these times. We are locked in a push – pull between old and new, between deathings and birthings and often wondering which is which.
Autumn ALERT
I cannot conceal my concern for some difficult periods as we come towards the end of the Summer and especially in the mid-Autumn period.
August
We're looking for good times even if that means suspending rational judgment and embracing irrational exuberance. It doesn't matter. We want to have fun, affirm our hope and assume that things are straightening out and getting ever better after a period of tumult and turmoil.
July
July seems like a roller coaster type of month with ups and downs, but we should be used to that pace by now during these volatile times. The characteristics of July can be seen in a paraphrase of the old nursery rhyme: when it is good, it is very, very good. But when it is bad, it is horrid. The month has swings from irrational exuberance and downright delusions to snags, delays and frustrations that can let the air out of the inflated balloon.
Summer 2009
While Summer is often associated with down time, getting off the track of our routine and taking time for relaxation and re-creation, this Summer can have us balancing our personal needs with the demands of our daily responsibilities.
June
June seems a largely upbeat, flying high kind of month when we may want to engage in various social activities, have some fun adventures and get out of Dodge to explore new terrain. We are looking at spreading our wings, fixing up our homes and our lives, and looking to get the past behind us in order to start anew or, at least, rebuild on more solid foundations.
May
We all probably remember the nursery rhyme of 'April showers bring May flowers'. We might feel as though our lives are flowering during this May period after a long, hard winter, autumn and late summer when the world appeared to be crashing down a bottomless ravine. Perhaps we are just getting used to...
April
April could be a real whipsaw month, a month of extremes, and a month of paradoxes. Like the old western classic movie, it's a month of the good, the bad, and the ugly. We are likely to be high energy (or is that high anxiety?) during this month.
Spring 2009
As we start this Spring, the energies are focused on new beginnings. Our sensitivity is likely to be turned up severalfold and we do have to be careful not to fall into a reactive, regressive or victimized role. Certainly, old issues may cloud our mind or impact our initiations at this time. While we might have to do a strong Spring cleaning, dealing with outstanding matters, old issues still unresolved and the consequences of past actions; this is a time for us to launch forward with new projects. If we draw upon the lessons of our past, then we are not compelled to repeat the same actions, the same mistakes, or going back over ground already covered.
Connecticut in April
I shall be in Connecticut from Saturday, April 4th, through Tuesday, April 14th,
March
This March reinforces the sense of betwixt and between that all of us may have been feeling over recent months. We might question whether we can move ahead without being hindered by our past or our daily obligations. We could wonder whether we have moved too far too fast in trying to implement changes in our lives.
February
February is a month when we can look to the future all the while that we are being haunted by the specters of our past.
The World
Patterns
January
January begins the year 2009, in numerology a master number year of the 11, a year of the visionary. This year allows us to look back, release ourselves from past limitations, relieve ourselves of past debts and obligations, and to move forward.
Winter 2008
This Winter is a time of significant transformation. Like the mythological bird phoenix on its funereal pyre to rise from its ashes, like Christianity’s Jesus the Christ crucified to resurrect and ascend; we as individuals, as a society and as a global community are likely to go through significant transformations. Old structures, old patterns, old ways of being may be sorely tested.
December
This December is a tale of two phases. The first half of December is off the charts with extreme actions, knee-jerk reactions and various twists, turns and spins. We may not know whether we’re coming or going, but we could find ourselves being pulled in different directions like a bizarre tug of war.
