November 17th - 23rd, 2025
The astrology for this week of November 17th through the 23rd of 2025 has some raucous energies with the liability of things getting too hot to handle and with various unexpected curveballs thrown in the mix.
The week begins benignly enough with the Scorpio Sun triggering a Water Grand Trine with Saturn in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer. With retrograde Mercury sextile Pluto, we can be astute regarding what we perceive to be happening even despite Mercury retrograde with its backward motion out of Sagittarius, a Sign of Detriment for Mercury.
Mercury retrogrades back into Scorpio mid-week and opposes Uranus, followed by the Scorpio New Moon with the Water Grand Trine emphasized. The New Moon opposes Uranus, and the Sun opposes Uranus. Over the next two weeks, our stability and sense of security may be shaken. Unexpected situations can arise suddenly and without warning. Keep in mind that we are both going through a major paradigm shift and a societal revolution, both of which trigger anxiety, fearfulness, and acting out.
The US government shutdown ended this past week but with a cautionary note that the passage of the clean continuing resolution occurred with Mercury retrograde and Murphy’s Law in effect of ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong.’ This clean continuing resolution reopens the government and provides funding for most of the government agencies through January of 2026. And then?
With the political divisiveness in this country, which seems akin to a two-party civil war [not so civil], where it’s more important to score points rather than resolve problems, we might be back in the mix again as we come into the new year.
With so much retrograde operating, we may find ourselves having to revisit issues of the past until the end of February 2026. The birthing of the new may be thwarted as society attends to the relics of our past.
It’s interesting to note the skepticism and serious questioning of artificial intelligence that has come about recently. As the world turns. Certainly, the equity prices of AI stocks and their cohorts have lost their bloom. Mid-autumn seemed to have the AI stocks peaking in price, all while we had the Air Grand Trine with Uranus in Gemini trine Pluto in Aquarius and triggered by the personal planets transiting Libra. Opportunities to buy the dip in high tech and AI stocks might be evident. The naysayers and the stalwarts of the protectors of the past may raise concerns about advancing technology.
The future may be delayed but cannot be denied.
The Uranus Pluto trine will reengage late in April 2026 when Uranus reenters Gemini for its seven-year transit of the Mutable Air Sign. The Technological Revolution will be further on its way.
The end of the week has the Sun exiting Scorpio to enter Sagittarius. If we would draw upon our faith, a positive attitude and a ‘can do’ belief, we would be able to handle any disruptive incidents, sharpen our skills, and be better able to handle whatever comes our way. We close out the week with Mercury triggering the Water Grand Trine.
We may understand that despite all appearances all is right in our world. Often, how we see things is based on our attitude. Positivity sees potentials and possibilities, while negativity focuses on problems and a dystopian perspective. Our choice, always our choice.
We’re coming into Thanksgiving week in the US next week, a time when we are urged to give thanks for the bounties and many blessings in our lives.
