February 2nd - 8th, 2026

The astrology for this week of February 2nd through the 8th of 2026 has us moving forward in new directions, all the while banging up against obstacles to an easy procession. We are advancing, but not without friction; evolving, but not without resistance.

Monday is Groundhog Day in the United States, and whether Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow or not, many of us may decide to go back under cover and hope that our withdrawal will make the world go away. The symbolism is apt. This week repeatedly asks: Do we push ahead, or do we pause, reassess, and choose our timing more carefully?

Excitement abounds as Uranus ends its five-month retrograde cycle and turns direct. We are edging closer to Uranus re-entering Gemini for its seven-year cycle through the Mutable Air Sign. During the second half of this year and into 2027, the three transcendental planets will be highlighted by Uranus trine Pluto and both sextile Neptune. Yes, we are firmly on the road to an exciting, startling, and often unexpected unfolding of the technological revolution. Out with the old. In with the new.

Before we get there, however, this week has us hitting the wall a couple of times, thanks to two destabilizing configurations: Mercury square Uranus on Thursday — my least favorite aspect for air travel and computer reliability — followed by Venus square Uranus on Sunday, which can trigger sudden upsets and emotional shocks in relationships.

Add to the mix Mercury entering Pisces, a Sign of Detriment for Mercury, and we have wild swings in perception, judgment, and emotional reasoning. Our intention to move ahead may be blocked not because we are wrong, but because the timing is off — or because we lack the resources (time, money, energy) to execute what looks so easy in theory.

Although we are challenged to turn the maze into a labyrinth — one that can be navigated with awareness rather than brute force — we are being asked to stay nimble, mindful, and adaptable. This is not a week for autopilot.

Back on the roller coaster. But no matter the twists and turns, we are advancing toward a new phase, a new human era. Let’s just hope we don’t make it an error.

Monday, February 2nd – Back Under Cover - Lunar T-Square, Venus, Mercury, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday has the Moon completing its transit of Leo with the Leo Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed both Venus and Mercury, and the Moon square Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four and a half hours [5:55 PM EST – 10:21 PM EST] as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo without making further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Virgo.

Tone of the Day

Frustrated, reactive, and easily overwhelmed. This is a classic configuration for blocked desires, thwarted plans, and emotional reactivity. Fixed energy resists change, and when pressured, it often erupts.

Best Practices

  • Lower expectations for smooth progress

  • Build in delays and extra time

  • Step back rather than pushing forward

  • Practice patience as a spiritual discipline

Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Tantrums, ultimatums, or emotional power plays

  • Forcing outcomes that are not ready

  • Taking delays personally

How to Use the Energy

See today as a diagnostic rather than a verdict. Where you feel blocked is where adjustment is needed — not confrontation. Especially during transformational times, remember that the universe often has better plans for you than you could imagine for yourself.

Tuesday, February 3rd – Future Ahead - Uranus Direct. The Moon remains in Virgo but makes no planetary aspects. Uranus ends its five-month retrograde cycle and turns direct [9:33 PM EST].

Tone of the Day

Quietly pivotal, forward-leaning, preparatory. While the day itself may feel uneventful, Uranus turning direct is anything but. Momentum begins to build beneath the surface.

Best Practices

  • Tie up loose ends

  • Handle details and unfinished business

  • Organize systems and workflows

  • Clean out physical and mental clutter

Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Ignoring preparation in favor of future fantasizing

  • Resisting technological or procedural upgrades

How to Use the Energy

Today and tomorrow are ideal for clearing space. The future is accelerating, and whatever remains unresolved will slow your advance. Prepare now so you can move freely later.

Wednesday, February 4th – Step by Step with Leaps Thrown In - Jupiter, Uranus. Wednesday continues with the Moon in Virgo with the Virgo Moon sextile Jupiter early in the day and the Moon trine Uranus to end the day. This combination blends expansion with innovation and practical execution

Tone of the Day

Optimistic, productive, and quietly confident.

Best Practices

  • Clean out, clear up, streamline

  • Work smarter rather than harder

  • Adapt to changing conditions

  • Embrace best-practices approaches

Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Smugness or overconfidence

  • Assuming today’s ease guarantees tomorrow’s

How to Use the Energy

This is a gift day. Use it fully — but humbly. Progress made today opens doors, but flexibility remains essential. As the Greek philosopher Heraclitus noted, you cannot step into the same river twice.

Thursday, February 5th – Mixed Signals - Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune, Pluto, Mercury square Uranus. Thursday begins with the Virgo Moon opposed Saturn.  The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for an hour and forty-four minutes [2:49 AM EST – 4:33 AM EST] as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo without making further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Libra.  The Libra Moon opposes Neptune and the Moon trines Pluto.  Mercury squares Uranus.  The three transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all engaged today, but not all harmoniously.

Tone of the Day

Confusing, unreliable, mentally disruptive.

Best Practices

  • Double-check all information

  • Build contingency plans

  • Delay travel or tech purchases if possible

  • Seek grounded counsel — but verify everything

Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Trusting first impressions

  • Air travel without backup plans

  • Buying technology

  • Taking statements at face value

How to Use the Energy

Treat today as informational noise rather than clarity. Observation beats action. What appears true today may prove false tomorrow.

Friday, February 6th – What It Is May Not Be - Mars, Jupiter, Sun, Mercury Pisces. Friday has the Libra Moon trine both Mars and the Sun both in Aquarius, and the Moon square Jupiter.  Mercury exits Aquarius and enters Pisces [5:48 PM EST], beginning its long transit through its Sign of Detriment.

Tone of the Day

Emotionally charged, impulsive, distorted. Thinking becomes emotional, impressionistic, and highly suggestible.

Best Practices

  • Pause before acting

  • Slow decision-making

  • Seek facts, not feelings

  • Sleep on major choices

Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Snap judgments

  • All-or-nothing thinking

  • Acting on fantasies

  • Over-promising or over-committing

How to Use the Energy

Channel imagination into art, music, or spiritual reflection — not decision-making. Let feelings pass before assigning meaning.

Saturday, February 7th – Enjoy the Moment - Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Pluto. Saturday has the Libra Moon trine Venus before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for seven hours and fourteen minutes [6:59 AM EST – 2:13 PM EST] as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra without making further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Scorpio where the Scorpio Moon today trines Mercury and the Moon squares Pluto.

Tone of the Day

Tender early, volatile later.

Best Practices

  • Enjoy morning intimacy and connection

  • Keep conversations light

  • Practice emotional awareness

Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Snarky remarks

  • Probing sensitive topics

  • Power struggles

How to Use the Energy

Savor the sweetness early in the day. As intensity rises later, restraint becomes the highest form of wisdom.

Sunday, February 8th – Relationship Conundrums -Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus. Sunday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon square Mars and the Moon trine Jupiter. Venus squares Uranus.

Tone of the Day

Volatile, stubborn, emotionally reactive - a classic signature for sudden relational upsets.

Best Practices

  • Create space rather than forcing resolution

  • Choose silence over confrontation

  • Ground yourself physically

Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Emotional spending

  • Ultimatums

  • Attempting to “fix” others

How to Use the Energy

If tensions arise, retreat rather than engage. Your personal sanctuary — physical or emotional — is the safest and wisest place to be.

Weekly Closing Reflection

This week reminds us that forward movement is not always linear. Sometimes progress comes through restraint, patience, and strategic withdrawal rather than relentless action. As Uranus turns direct and Neptune ignites Aries, the future is undeniably calling — but clarity requires timing.

We are being trained not just to move forward, but to move wisely. To read the terrain. To listen for signals beneath the noise. And to remember that during times of paradigm shift, the greatest strength is not force — but awareness.

Out with the old. In with the new.
But only when the moment is truly ripe.
