May 1, 2007

May

May begins with three planets in Fire Signs, two planets in an Earth Sign, three planets in Air Signs and two planets in a Water Sign.

One planet is in a Cardinal Sign, four planets are in Fixed Signs and five planets are in Mutable Signs. Six planets are in Positive Signs, four planets are in Negative Signs.
May starts with a Grand Trine in the Air Element with the Libra Moon trining Venus in Gemini and both trining Neptune in Aquarius. Relationships can be highlighted, even to the point of seeing our interactions with that significant someone as close to idyllic, truly a soulmate connection. If only life allowed us to cavort through pastoral meadows and magical forestlands, life would be paradise.

While that energy is in our lives as we begin May, we have a couple of clinkers we also have to address.

The Saturn Neptune opposition that has been bedeviling us, and continues to bedevil us into the summertime, is triggered by the Sun and Mercury transiting through Taurus. The issue of appearance versus reality, fact or fiction, is on the front burner once again. We may question what is going on, wonder what it's all about, and all with no definitive resolution able to cast a calm or diminish our level of anxiety. With the Sun and Mercury tossed into the mix and creating a Fixed Sign T-Square, we might find our sense of stability and security to be akin to walking on thin ice. We may not be comfortable with our situation, might even consider that at any moment the rug could be pulled out from under us.

Adding to the potential anxiety, we also have a Mutable Sign T-Square with Venus in Gemini opposing the Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius and all three squaring Mars and Uranus in Pisces.

Our mind could be spinning with just too much information. Not only could we feel ourselves on overload but we might also discover that we're involved in the telephone game whereby the information passes from one person to another to another and by the time it reaches us we have been given wrong information or information that is enigmatic and indecipherable.

Back to Olympus with our special someone!

This month may clamor for continual mental health days as we attempt to sort out what is going on and what it means to us. The more we can step off the track and enjoy the beauties of life and the special people in our life, the less likely we are to feel overwhelmed and even victimized by the slings and arrows of outrageousness.

The month also begins with three pairs of planetary configurations: the Sun and Mercury in Taurus, Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius, and Mars and Uranus in Pisces. These three Signs are accentuated. We can plant our seeds, consider our financial position and engage in personal makeovers with dressing up our personal style. We can also broaden our reach, widen our perspective and consider ways to expand our activities into truly meaningful venues. We can engage in spiritual activities looking to provide more meaning to our daily circumstances.

May is a month when we can take our energy and begin to establish the ways and means of accomplishing our goals. We are less likely to plunge into things without considering the possible ramifications. We have picked up more Earth than we have had for the past six weeks or so.

We start May with the Scorpio Full Moon on the 2nd. Questions of security are raised. Now is a time for a good spring cleaning, clearing away the debris of the past that no longer works for us. The less tied we are to old patterns and old methods, the better it would be. Akin to the old saying that the cup has to be emptied before it can be filled, this Scorpio Full Moon asks us to complete past issues and outstanding matters, bring to a close elements of our past and then to consider new ways and new directions. Increasingly, we are looking to work smarter rather than harder, to be more productive with less expenditure of energy. We may not enjoy all the releases, eliminations and 'letting go', but the more we can strip away the more we can draw from a cleaner palette and a fresh canvas.

During the early part of May, we do need to discern between confusion and clarity and try to determine which is which. On the 5th, Mercury sextiles Uranus but also squares Saturn. Thoughts of how we can do things more expeditiously can keep us from being ensnared in outdated methods. The 'tried and true' may have been tried but could no longer be true or effective in our today's environment.

On the 6th, Jupiter trines Saturn as Venus opposes Pluto. We can devise the ways to broaden our scope and create a format to expand into activities that have greater meaning for us. We do have to watch our relationships. In our eagerness to clean house, we could find ourselves throwing the baby out with the bath water. Extremes need to be avoided for we might get carried away in getting rid of things only to realize that some of the things gotten rid of still have meaning and purpose for us.

The Saturn opposition Neptune is reinforced by Mercury square Neptune on the 7th. We could make judgments based upon past experiences, become fixed in our opinions and consequently lose the opportunity of embracing insight and engaging needed change. We need to take things with a grain of salt and not personally for there may be misunderstandings and miscommunications. The more we can maintain clarity in the turbulence, the less we'll get entangled in sticky situations. If we would keep our eyes wide open and work with peripheral vision, we might have some startling revelations, some remarkable insights.

We may find ourselves caroming, feeling betwixt and between as the Sun sextiles Uranus on the 8th, then on the 9th the Sun squares Saturn and on the 12th the Sun squares Neptune. While we want to be free to do our own thing, we could find our responsibilities get in the way. In fact, our commitments may provide a necessary braking pattern keeping us from rushing headlong into an abyss.

With Mercury sextile Mars on the 8th and Jupiter square Uranus on the 10th, we might try to fast forward without considering our itinerary, our direction or our means.

Venus exits Gemini and enters Cancer on the 8th. We may want to pamper ourselves, focus on our maternal nature and spend time feathering our nest and relaxing at home.

The dance between old and new, and the measure of our steps between the two, could throw us off balance in this first half of May. We have a slew of contradictory influences seeking to impact us. It would be best to avoid any rush to judgment. Let's accept that fact that we might not be dealing from full clarity, might not have all the information and may even be questioning in what direction we want to head and with what goal in mind.

Although this May period is a seed planting time, let's also keep in mind that among the plants that develop, there could also be weeds that need to be pulled from our garden. We can go ahead and put our energies towards some of our new projects and new interests. It would also be wise to have no attachment to any one particular situation. We could find that those things we thought were great possibilities turn out to be shams or situations that could throttle the true opportunities.

Let's go slow, be judicious in our considerations and carefully deliberate in making definite decisions.

While there can be a lack of clarity and also delays operating early in this month, we also have some wonderful surprises coming virtually out of the blue. It is essential that we keep our eyes wide open, work with peripheral vision and consider alternatives both in regard to our purpose and in our ways.

On the 11th, Mercury exits Taurus to enter its own Sign of Gemini. Our thoughts are far more fluid, our ideas coming a mile a minute as we entertain all sorts of possibilities. We can easily think on our feet, put things together in rapid-fire succession and juggle even more than we have been. Oh, goody!

We do have two Pluto aspects we have to be careful about this month. The first one on the 6th is Venus opposed Pluto which could put a crimp on our idyllic concept of relationships. Suddenly, we might find our significant other to have a dark side, drawing a line in the sand and with sharpened machete in hand taunting us to step over it. Or is it we who hold the machete? Again, the question of confusion and of clarity arises. Either way, relationships around the 6th could prove quite intense.

The other Pluto aspect to watch for is the following Sunday on the 13th, Mother's Day in the US. This time we have Mars about to exit Pisces, not quite ready to enter Aries, square Pluto. This aspect could prove quite severe. Eruptions are likely so it would be best to count to ten before any reaction.

Storm systems could be extreme, whether those storms are emotional tirades from those who choose to be belligerent or weather systems with howling winds and drenching precipitation. Flash floods of emotions or massive water flow might be evident at this time.

On the 15th, Mars does exit Pisces and enter its own Sign of Aries, setting up the Grand Trine in Fire that we experienced last month and the end of February into early March. This time with Mars traveling through Aries the Grand Trine in Fire is by Sign, with the exact aspect of Mars to Jupiter and Mars to Saturn occurring in June. Nonetheless, we do have by Sign the Grand Trine in the Fire Element and with Mars in Aries we're off and running doing our own thing. We have the drive and self-assertiveness to take the lead in our lives.

We may feel like we've come to a screeching halt with the Taurus New Moon on the 16th. The Sun Moon conjunction in Taurus triggers the Saturn Neptune opposition and we have the Fixed Sign T-Square set back into motion. This imprint influences the rest of the month. The question of what's real and what isn't, what is possible and what is beyond the realm, is a question that may have us both pondering our course of action and perhaps even squandering our resources. Once again, the clarity, stability and security may be shaky at best. If we take our time, we can begin to create the structure and fashion the means to achieve our aims. We do have to review our methods, adapting to changing variables and fine tuning our procedures as we go along. Our enthusiasm may know no bounds and we need to be careful not to re-create past situations and not to accept things at face value. Checking and testing to be certain that we're on the right track are key this week. We may be doing a great deal of juggling and we can handle various things, as long as we don't skip over details. While we might want to go as quickly as possible, haste could make waste and force us to go back over and redo.

The latter part of the month has a great deal of Mercury activity. Mercury creates a Mutable Sign T-Square on the 20th as the Gemini Mercury squares Uranus in Pisces and opposes Jupiter in Sagittarius. On the 21st, Mercury sextiles Saturn, followed by Mercury trine Neptune on the 23rd and concluding with Mercury opposed Pluto on the 27th. Our minds are active, our feet even more so. We may be scurrying around, going from one thing to another, entranced by the new and the different, yet all the while considering our future prospects. Our self-confidence can get the better of us and we may be blindsided by unexpected situations. Let's harness our energies, concentrate on practical means to manifest our vision and channel our actions into constructive outlets. If we will take our time and not get caught up in a whirlwind of frenzy, we can take into account all of the variables and make a reasoned judgment regarding which ways we want to go and what we want to focus on. We can stabilize our intentions as long as we recognize that we may be lacking a grounding rod especially as we lose the Earth Element as the Sun leaves Taurus on the 21st to enter Gemini.

With a desire to add more things to our daily mix, we could come up with stimulating and creative ways to handle the various activities of our lives. Not only can we address our daily activities, but we can also fantasize about what we want to do and where we want to go. We could add on more and more to our ‘to do’ list. Our practicality may be lacking, and we have to be careful that we're not being pushed and pulled by the shifting tides of our interests and the changing moods of our emotions.

On the 25th, Venus trines Uranus. Not content to be competent in our routine matters, we could be looking at springtime projects around our home, enlisting redecoration or renovation projects to our living space. We may also find ourselves infatuated by situations and people who are not usually part of our lives. Feeling adept at juggling the activities of our lives, we could add on even more embracing the idea that variety is the spice of life

Mercury moves into Cancer on the 28th, Memorial Day in the US, and the unofficial kickoff of Summer. Our thoughts turn to family gatherings, reunions, graduations and weddings.

The month ends with the Sagittarius Full Moon. We are looking for passion not distraction. We only want those things that serve a purpose in our lives.

This month of May can be a highly energetic one. We may be rushing around, putting our energy here then there, all the while that we're wondering whether we even have our feet on the ground.

May... taking it all with a grain of salt...

May 6, 2007

May 7th - 13th

We start the week somewhat dazed thanks to the caroming of this past week and this week beginning with Mercury square Neptune. We need to take things with a grain of salt and not personally for there may be misunderstandings and miscommunications during this week. The more we can maintain clarity in the turbulence of the week, the less we'll get entangled in sticky situations.

The caroming of last week continues on into this week as the Sun sextiles Uranus, then the Sun squares Saturn and over the weekend the Sun squares Neptune. While we want to be free to do our own thing, we could find our responsibilities get in the way. In fact, our commitments may provide a necessary braking pattern keeping us from rushing headlong into an abyss.

With Mercury sextile Mars and Jupiter square Uranus this week, we might try to fast forward without considering our itinerary, our direction or our means.

We do have two sign changes this week as Venus enters Cancer and Mercury moves into its own Sign of Gemini. Pampering ourselves and entertaining many different thoughts could help us from leaping brashly ahead.

Moderation this week would be advised, but we're more likely to be operating in fits of starts and stops.

The weekend comes to closure in an explosive manner thanks to the Mars Pluto square. Eruptions are likely so it would be best to count to ten before any reaction.

Monday, May 7th - Intuitive Misunderstandings – Mercury, Neptune, Sun, Uranus. If we start the week with blueprint in hand, we are less likely to lose our way. Monday has the Capricorn Moon trine the Sun and sextile Uranus. We can accomplish a great deal if we don’t rush ahead, will be adaptable to changing conditions and keep our intentions in focus. Otherwise, this day can be fraught with confusion and misunderstandings. If we go solely on intuition and our gut hunches and on our feelings, we could be lead down the yellow brick road of fantasy and illusion. Today is a day not to take anything anyone says at face value. Let’s check things out, be certain we are in agreement before we launch ahead. People’s ideas of the future may be great in concept but difficult to bring forward in the real world. Some people may be adamant in their opinions even to the point of pontificating about the most outlandish nonsense. It would be wise to take everything we are told with a grain of salt and not to personalize what we might hear.

Tuesday, May 8th – The World of Possibilities – Sun, Uranus, Mercury, Mars, Venus Gemini. Tuesday can be a fairly special day. We might feel like we’re able to express our true selves without restriction, without judgment. We can blend a focused pragmatic attitude with a visionary quality to come up with solutions to problems that might have been challenging to us. Mercury sextiles Mars and the Capricorn Moon trines Mercury and sextiles Mars before the Moon moves out of Capricorn to enter Aquarius. Our independent streak is increased by the Sun sextile Uranus. We want to stretch, investigate new areas and consider situations we might not usually take into account. We’re not acting as a rebel without a cause. We have a purpose and a concentrated desire to engage the world of possibilities. No leaping into the void for us today. We’re more likely to build a suspension bridge from where we have been to the alternatives we might engage in the future.

Wednesday, May 9th – Past Conditions Letting the Air Out – Sun, Saturn, Jupiter. Wednesday could be like the dark of night to yesterday’s light of day. We might have been pumped yesterday thinking we could do virtually anything and with everything making perfect sense. Wednesday is a different story. We might discover that outstanding matters, past patterns get in the way. We might have to take two steps back before we advance further. Whatever restrictions we encounter today, don’t let it knock the wind out of our sails. We could feel exhausted, even lethargic today. Let’s cut ourselves some slack. Remember: life is not a straight line. Often we have to zig-zag, like tacking to get the wind to our back. The Sun squares Saturn today and the Aquarius Moon opposes Saturn. But the Moon also sextiles Jupiter. No matter the delays or frustrations this day might bring, let’s keep the faith and recognize that although we might feel enveloped by the dark, the sun will come out tomorrow. The primary suggestion for today is to recognize that things may take longer than we like, the delays could impede our forward movement and that we might have to address certain issues before we can move ahead.

Thursday, May 10th – Going Overboard – Jupiter, Uranus, Sun, Neptune, Pluto, Mercury. Thursday has Jupiter square Uranus. Talk about an energy that could prove unpredictable! That would be this Jupiter square Uranus. Things could be taken to an extreme. We might be operating from a high level of nervous energy, even to the point of being manic – depressive. Within this day itself, our moods could go through wild swings, high, unstoppable, totally manic one moment and then feeling victimized, behind the eight ball and unable to get beyond life’s circumstance the next moment. Yes, this Thursday could prove a real whipsaw. Added to the Jupiter Uranus square, we also have the Aquarius Moon square the Sun, conjunct Neptune, sextile Pluto and square Mercury. We could be all over the place today. Let’s get a grip, try to get a handle on this day and not be overwhelmed by the tidal wave-like actions and emotions. Towards the end of the day, the Moon slips into Pisces increasing our emotions and our moodiness. We may have to respond to unexpected situations but we don’t have to feel like we’re powerlessly reacting to conditions.

Friday, May 11th – Soft and Gentle – Venus, Mercury Gemini. On Friday, Mercury moves into its own Sign of Gemini. Our minds are lighter, more interested in entertaining many different ideas. Our thoughts may be fleeting but so too we may want to juggle various activities. Our communications are highlighted. The Moon is in Pisces and trines Venus. This Friday can be an especially pleasant day with that certain someone in our lives. We can have real heart-to-heart talks, although we might find our discussions jump from one thing to another, but often coming back to our feelings for that special someone in our lives. Today is a great day to take a drive, have a picnic and enjoy some special moments. Today is not a day for anything harsh or rough. Today is a day for the soft and the gentle.

Saturday, May 12th – Which Way Is Up? – Sun, Neptune, Jupiter, Uranus, Mars, Pluto. Well, I hope we caught up on some rest and pleasant times on Friday. For Saturday and Sunday could have us feeling like we’re caroming from one thing to another, not knowing which way is up. This weekend can be extreme in its wild swings of emotions. There could be a ‘flight or fight’ tendency and not knowing which to do. Saturday gives us the Sun square Neptune. We may feel somewhat dazed by life, by our possibilities and wondering whether we can pull off any of it. Talk about Wrong Way Corrigan! We could set off in one direction, change our minds and wind up somewhere totally different from where we had intended. The level of confusion can be augmented by the Pisces Moon. In and of itself, the Pisces Moon allows for a sense of impressionability and variability. But today’s Pisces Moon squares both Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius, sextiles the Sun and conjuncts both Uranus and Mars. Too many possibilities could prove daunting and especially with our changeable nature. We might be zig-zagging today, going from one thing towards another, switching gears and winding up going round in circles. Today is a day to let go of our expectations, maintain a bemused attitude toward life and let the river flow with us feeling like a leaf on the current. Later in the day, the Moon moves into Aries and we have more of the ability of getting a grip on ourselves, our life and our plans.

Sunday, May 13th – Bombs Bursting – Mars, Pluto, Mercury, Venus. Sunday is Mother’s Day in the US. It is also a day when we have one explosive configuration --- Mars square Pluto. The fuse may be short today and people could be like powder kegs with enough pent-up energy that could be released without warning. Maintaining vigilance and not assuming anything today would be my suggestion. Today is a day to tiptoe through the minefields, keeping alert to any sudden shift in moods or actions. The Aries Moon sextiles Mercury and squares Venus. We may be self-absorbed, more interested in what is going on in our lives than other people’s situations and interested in expressing our personal exploits. There may not be too many receptive listeners today. On the contrary, people could become too concentrated on their own issues to take into account what is going on outside of their own attitudes and perspective. And that’s a dangerous disposition to take, for we could easily get blind-sided by matters we haven’t considered. Today is certainly a day to count to ten before reacting or responding. And then, when replying, let’s try to maintain a decorum and diplomacy so that we’re not met with an arsenal of adversarial comments or harangues. One intense day, so let’s be certain to slow it down and not overreact.

May 14, 2007

May 14th - 20th

This week seems less complicated and more focused than the past two weeks. We start the week with a thrust of energy, looking to initiate new projects and advance our personal causes.

Mars moves into its Sign of Aries giving greater emphasis to our drive and self-assertiveness. With a passionate desire to take the lead in our lives, we come to the Taurus New Moon mid-week. We can begin to create the structure and fashion the means to achieve our aims.

Over the weekend, we could confront some problems as Mercury opposes Jupiter and Mercury squares Uranus. Our self-confidence can get the better of us and we may be blindsided by unexpected situations.

Let's harness our energies this week, concentrate on practical means to manifest our vision and channel our actions into constructive outlets.

Monday, May 14th – Another Manic Monday – Lunar Grand Trine, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto. We may be reeling from the influence of yesterday’s Mars square Pluto and its impact could linger on. While there may still be a great deal of intensity and people at their wit’s end, this Monday also gives us a great energy: The Fire Grand Trine that we’ve been feeling for much of this Spring period. Today the Grand Trine is due to the Moon in Aries trining Saturn in Leo and trining both Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius. Added to the Grand Trine influence, the Moon also sextiles Neptune. No matter the issues raised recently, today allows us to focus our desires and concentrate on our own interests. People may still lose it, but we have a far better ability to avoid engagement. Instead, we may feel that we can widen our scope, broaden our reach. We have the ability to lay down foundation stones for some of our projects and find creative ways to advance our goals. We do have to be careful that we don’t overdo. We are feeling the Mars square Pluto from yesterday, so we could find ourselves, or others, to feel like a law unto our/them selves. As the day progresses, the Moon moves into Taurus. Much of our enthusiasm can be tempered and grounded. We might give ourselves the time to take things slow and in a very pragmatic approach.

Tuesday, May 15th – Looking Good – Venus, Mars Aries. Tuesday has the Taurus Moon sextile Venus in Cancer and a Mutual Reception between the two, for the Moon is in a Sign ruled by Venus and Venus in the Sign ruled by the Moon. What a day for a personal makeover, to pamper ourselves and to make those cosmetic touches to our home, our wardrobe, our personal style. We do have to watch that we don’t go out and shop until we drop or until our credit card is declined due to over-activity or reaching the limit and stretching beyond. Our taste and our style today could prove impeccable. We seem diplomatic, less defensive. Our insecurities may drop away especially in light of the fact that Mars leaves Pisces and enters its own Sign of Aries. With Mars in Aries we now have by Sign through much of June the Fire Grand Trine with Mars in Aries, Saturn in Leo and both Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius. We may also find that we have greater physical energy as well. We may feel more exuberant, more filled with the spirit of life and looking to put our mark on our activities.

Wednesday, May 16th – Reality Check – Taurus New Moon, Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Saturn, Neptune, Sun. The Taurus New Moon on Wednesday could allow us to plant our seeds and create the structure and means to realize our goals. I wrote ‘could’ since this Taurus New Moon also links up by square the Saturn Neptune opposition. The issue of appearance and reality is engaged, again. Yes, this Taurus New Moon could provide us with a reality check and a need for careful discernment between what could be true and the actual truth itself. The Moon also sextiles Uranus. While past issues or incomplete matters may demand our attention, today is a good day to consider options and alternatives. We could get locked into old patterns that put blinders on and only allow us to see what we are used to seeing or what is only straight in front of us. That could prove tragic, for we might find that the familiar is only a distraction from unexpected opportunities. This day is a day to think outside the box and consider our options, how we can do things differently and streamline our activities. If we will work with peripheral vision, this day could offer some pleasant surprises.

Thursday, May 17th - Bright Ideas – Mars, Mercury. Thursday’s Gemini Moon could have our mind whirling with a myriad of thoughts and a variety of ideas. Not only do we have the Gemini Moon but the Moon conjuncts Mercury and sextiles Mars. Talk and discussions may be rampant today. We can jump from one topic to another never missing a beat. We may find ourselves getting some bright ideas, thoughts about what we want to do, new adventures for ourselves and the ways to proceed to realize our dreams. Our conversations may revolve around our own interests. We can talk about our greatest and latest exploits. We do have to watch that we don’t get too self-absorbed or carried away by our enthusiasm.

Friday, May 18th - Push, Pulls, & Preludes – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto. Friday could have us ramping things up. We may be running on adrenaline, even to the point of overdrive. Today has the Gemini Moon creating a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Uranus in Pisces and opposes both Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius. We may not be content with our normal activities. We might want to stretch our wings and do something different, just for the sake of difference. It would be easy for us to gloss over details or skip important points today. We might be champing at the bit, wanting to be out and about without any planned itinerary or any set course of action in mind. Fortunately, the Moon also sextiles Saturn and trines Neptune. If we don’t get caught up in the frenzy of the day, we could actually use this high level of nervous energy to get a lot done. This is not a day when we can merely do maintenance work and go methodically along doing one thing all day long. No, today we want to be doing various things, exploring and testing the waters of new interests. Let’s not wear ourselves out. The more we can work with quality of time, whereby we get more done in short cycles of energy and time, the more we can accomplish today. Whatever is going on today may serve as a prelude to Sunday when we have the Mutable Sign T-Square but this time triggered not by the Moon but by Mercury in Gemini. Whenever we have a T-Square, we need the fourth Element of that Quadruplicity to balance it off. In this case, today and Sunday, we need to keep in mind the Virgo energy of detailed focus and looking at the specifics.

Saturday, May 19th – Home Again – Mars, Venus. Caught between two high intensity days, Saturday might not prove the respite we might want. Although the Moon is in Cancer and conjuncts Venus increasing our desire to nurture ourselves and enjoy the comforts of home, the Moon also squares Mars. We could be off and running today. Part of our thrust of energy is the nervous energy engendered by the planetary configurations yesterday and tomorrow. Part of it is our desire to express ourselves and put our imprint on things. Let’s keep in mind the image of the eagle which creates its nest then flies from it to soar along the air currents, eventually to return to the nest. We may be the eagle today, going out and about, to return home and enjoy the warmth and nurture of our womb-like home atmosphere.

Sunday, May 20th – Insanity or Genius, a Curious Mix – Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus. Sunday has the Mutable sign T-Square, similar to what we experienced on Friday except today we have Mercury being the trigger point, not the Moon. Mercury opposes Jupiter and squares Uranus today. Let’s watch for computer glitches and be aware that our tendency could be to overdo or over reach. We may have grandiose thoughts today but they may also have no basis in reality. We could find ourselves either at the brink of genius or on the border of insanity. One step out of line and we could go either way. Today is one of my least favorite days for air travel. Travel itself can be convoluted, with unexpected problems arising. Communications can be off, especially if we rush to judgment or shoot from the lip. The tendency will be there. We’re wired and looking to express ourselves in rapid-fire intensity. The Cancer Moon does trine Uranus. If we could have some home projects of renovating or changing things around, it might be a good release of the energy pulsating through us.

May 20, 2007

May 21st - 27th

This week begins with the Sun moving into Mercury-ruled Gemini. Much of this week revolves around Mercury, as Mercury trines Saturn, then Mercury trines Neptune and finally Mercury opposes Pluto.

We may be doing several things at once this week. Our mind is awhirl entertaining various interests. This is a week when we can be, and may need to be, a master juggler.

With a desire to add more things to our daily mix, we could come up with stimulating and creative ways to handle the various activities of our lives. Not only can we address our daily activities, but we can also fantasize about what we want to do and where we want to go. We could add on more and more to our ‘to do’ list.

Towards the end of the week, Venus trines Uranus. Not content to be competent in our routine matters, we could be looking at springtime projects around our home, enlisting redecoration or renovation projects to our living space. We may also find ourselves infatuated by situations and people who are not usually part of our lives. Feeling adept at juggling the activities of our lives, we could add on even more embracing the idea that variety is the spice of life.

Over the weekend, we have Mercury opposed Pluto, the one configuration that could trip us up this week. We might find that we have overloaded ourselves and taken on too much.

Monday, May 21st – Another Manic Monday – Sun Gemini, Mercury, Saturn, Sun, Mars. Monday starts the week with the Sun entering Gemini, a Leo Moon and Mercury sextile Saturn. We should be off and running today. We’re looking at getting our act together and taking it on the road. We want to emphasize our personal best. Our thoughts are clear and precise. Our communications are well-considered and persuasive. We can entertain various ideas, juggle different activities and keep all the balls in the air. We are far more interested in variety than a singular focus. The Moon sextiles the Sun and trines Mars. We have the energy and the style to put our best foot forward. This day can be a powerful and effective day so long as we work in spurts of energy and recognize that even disparate situations can serve each other.

Tuesday, May 22nd – Clarity, Precision and Finetuning – Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Neptune. Today is the 22nd, a master number in numerology indicative of the Master Builder. And build in a mastery way we can do today. The Leo Moon trines Jupiter, conjuncts Saturn, sextiles Mercury and opposes Neptune. Although we’re looking to expand our scope and broaden our reach, we may have a tendency to look over our shoulder. Yes, we are doing the dance of the Saturn Neptune opposition, whereby we may be scratching our heads and wondering whether we’re dealing with reality or with illusion. If we take the time to think things through, consider all the factors involved in a situation and then proceed cautiously with a willingness to shift and change according to varying conditions, we can move our projects ahead in a clear, precise and deliberate manner. We could be challenged by assuming that everything works out for the best, which in the big picture it always does. But, if we go blindly into the night, we would have to watch for falling into the pitfalls of wish fulfillment and blind optimism. Let’s use our enthusiasm to advance our interests, all the while that we’re sure to dot the i’s and cross the t’s. This day can be a spectacular day if we take the time and don’t rush the river.

Wednesday, May 23rd – Intuitive Understandings – Mercury, Neptune, Pluto, Sun. Wednesday has Mercury trine Neptune. Our intuitive sense may be spot on. We might have feelings about something or a gut hunch that could be right on the money. Let’s trust our instincts today, for we may know without knowing. Early in the day, the Leo Moon trines Pluto. We can feel energized, ready to take on the world, impassioned by our prospects and looking to do our personal best. Today would be a good day to communicate our thoughts and make a presentation of our ideas. As the day progresses, the Moon moves into Virgo where it squares the Sun. Suddenly, we might start to overly critique ourselves, over-analyze our actions. We start the day with a thrust of energy, impelled to action only later in the day to start to question our ability and feel somewhat insecure as the day unfolds. Suggested right action would be to move ahead early in the day and then tweak and adjust the details later in the day.

Thursday, May 24th – Walking on Eggshells - Jupiter, Neptune retrograde. Thursday could have us second-guessing ourselves. We might be operating in fits and starts. The Virgo Moon squares Jupiter, and Neptune turns retrograde. We may question our decisions, even to the point of running in place as we wonder whether we have covered all the bases. It is important that we not skip over details or gloss over the specifics. Once we are convinced that we have taken care of the particulars, then we can move forward. We’re still likely to be tentative about the day and our actions. No definitive decisions or heavy duty commitments would be advised, for we would still wonder whether we are progressing in a healthy manner or just stepping into a mess. This day is a day to go slow, recognize that we’re making judgments based upon the information at hand but that we may not have all of the information.

Friday, May 25th – Unexpected Opportunities or Frenetic Pitfalls – Venus, Uranus, Lunar Grand Cross, Mercury, Pluto. We could call this day ‘freaky Friday’. The energies can be all over the place and so too could we. The Virgo Moon creates a Mutable Sign Grand Cross with the Moon opposed Uranus in Pisces, square Mercury in Gemini and square Pluto in Sagittarius. We could be running from one thing to another, all the while that our mind is cascading with a flood of diverse thoughts and feelings. We have to be careful not to feel behind the eight ball, victimized and merely reacting to situations. The Moon sextiles Venus and Venus trines Uranus. Today could be a day when interesting new connections come forward. We might have some wonderful opportunities to meet people or bump into someone who proves to be quite special to our lives. This day can be splendid if we can adjust our plans and act on the spur of the moment. If we’re trying to accomplish too much, we may find ourselves on overload and repeatedly dropping the ball. Let’s slow things down, consider our options and make choices. We might not be able to cover all the bases but we can pick and choose those situations that most appeal to us. Tonight would be a good time to do something special, do something different with someone you love or someone you like a lot. Magic is in the air. Let’s be sure to look up from our routine in order to take advantage of any surprising situations that arise.

Saturday, May 26th – Me or Thee – Sun, Mars. Saturday has a Libran Moon and a Moon trine Sun, Moon opposed Mars energy configuration. Saturday can be a day when we can enjoy the company of others. We do have to watch for narcissists, those people who are so self-absorbed that they assume the world revolves around them. If we can spend time with people who are receptive listeners, who look for the give and take in relationships, then this day could be close to ideal. Saturday is the kind of day to ‘stop and smell the flowers’, a day to take a leisurely walk, luxuriate in the beauties of springtime and to take things slow. Especially after yesterday, when we might have felt like there was no time to do all the things that we wanted / needed to do. Saturday is quite different, and offers a nice respite from the hurly-burly of life in 2007.

Sunday, May 27th – Squeezing Through the Eye of the Needle – Mercury, Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Neptune. Sunday has Mercury opposed Pluto. While we can be incredibly perceptive and able to focus on the significant aspects of a situation, we could also be a little short with other people, may hold fast to our beliefs and might even let loose with a good verbal lashing [how good is that?]. Fortunately, we have the Libra Moon today which sextiles Jupiter, sextiles Saturn, squares Venus and trines Neptune. No matter how much we might want to give someone a piece of our mind, we also have a diplomatic streak that can be a positive restraining force today. We could assist others in figuring out things that have been problematic for them. We could all put on the counseling hat, work through issues and come up with strategic ways to broaden our reach. If we don’t get rigid in our opinions, there can be a good give-and-take that takes into account salient points and arrives at a best case scenario.

May 28th - June 3rd

This week begins with Mercury moving out of its Sign of Gemini into Cancer. The month of May ends with the Sagittarius Full Moon.

While last week had us scurrying around, going from one thing to another, this week allows a more settling quality. We have a greater ability to sift through the various activities we’ve gotten involved with and to focus on those that especially have meaning for us.

We are looking for passion not distraction. We only want those things that serve a purpose in our lives. Our attention turns to our home and family. We may start to make plans with relatives and extended family for a future reunion. We might devote time to home improvement projects.

While everyone may have been talking a mile a minute over the past two weeks, now there is more reticence. Instead of shooting from the lip, our conversations may be succinct, concise and measured.

We do need to watch that we’re not going from one extreme to another. Although our curiosity recently sparked an interest in many things, we could now flip to extreme pruning, cutting everything away save for the familiar and the comfortable. If we stretched too much before, we have to avoid severely contracting ourselves now.

The whirl-a-gig from which we have been operating may have slowed in order for us to concentrate this week on those situations and those people with which we want to spend our time.

June starts with us in high gear. We are looking at moving full speed ahead, expanding our involvements, taking on as much as we can possibly handle. And maybe even more. We are feeling optimistic, confident and ready to put our imprint on everything we do.

We do need to watch for putting the cart before the horse. We could be feeling our oats and so energized that we don’t take into account possible variables. We might easily skim over details and specifics that may then trip us up.

The month of June begins with a Grand Trine in Fire with the Sagittarius Moon conjuncting Jupiter and trining Mars in Aries and Saturn in Leo. We are on fire, focused on what we want to do and looking at the big picture. We might not want to brook any interference with our plans or our thoughts. The only opinions we are interested in are those that confirm our beliefs. ‘Yes’ people are all well and good but it would be wise for us to also solicit the opinions of the devil’s advocate, someone who could point out possible liabilities and shortfalls in our thinking.

While we have the enthusiasm to move mountains, let’s slow it down a bit and make sure that we’re taking care of the particulars. If we harness our energies, we can use our forcefulness in a structured and methodical manner to make quantum leaps in realizing our goals.

Monday, May 28th – Good Day, Sunshine – Pluto, Mercury, Mercury Cancer. Monday starts the week on a bright and chipper note. In the US, this day is Memorial Day, the last day of a long holiday weekend and the unofficial start of summer. This day also starts with a Libra Moon sextile Pluto and trine Mercury. We may be gathering with friends, luxuriating in the enjoyment of a bubbly, uplifting attitude. Our communications are pleasant and inspiring. Our thoughts are likely to be focused on our summer plans and possible vacation trips we are considering. As the day progresses, the Moon moves out of Libra and enters Scorpio. Our focus might turn from our interactions with others to a clean-up and clear-out of our homes to get ready for our summer activities. Spraying off the lawn furniture, putting away the last vestiges of winter can all be part of our shapeshifting from one extreme season to the next. Later in the day, Mercury exits its own Sign of Gemini and enters Cancer. Increasingly, our mind might revolve around family matters and home projects. We may be thinking about reunions and reconnections as the social activities of the late Spring, early Summer engage family and friends for various celebrations of graduations, weddings and other reunions.

Tuesday, May 29th – In the Stillness. Tuesday has no planetary configurations, no aspects and consequently not a great deal of energy. The Moon is in Scorpio and we might find that more is going on below the surface than may be evident. There can be a brooding intensity today, similar to a cat in watch of its prey, noting movements, waiting, all the while considering the most opportune moment to spring on its prey. While we might not be looking to pounce on someone or something, we do need to realize that this day can be one of percolating energies, simmering below the surface, at any moment ready to vent. The best use of this day might be to inventory, to take stock of our plans, our activities and our commitments. Tuesday could serve as a day when we consider how we can pare down, focus on the essentials and prepare to rid ourselves of the extraneous and the superfluous.

Wednesday, May 30th – Taking Off Blinders – Lunar Grand Trine, Uranus, Venus, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday can be a truly paradoxical day. The Scorpio Moon creates both a Grand Trine in the Water Element and a T-Square in the Fixed Signs. Today the Moon trines both Uranus in Pisces and Venus in Cancer. Our emotions can be strong and vibrant. We may be looking at new opportunities for ourselves, quite possibly redecorating our homes or our wardrobe and seeking avenues for exploration, self-discovery and self-expression. The Moon also creates the T-Square by squaring Saturn in Leo and Neptune in Aquarius, our recent nemesis where fact and fiction provide the double-edged sword without us being fully aware of which is which. Today is a day when it would be important to consider different ways of doing things. The ‘tried and true’ may no longer work for us, and the opportunities certainly lie outside the familiar. This Wednesday is a day to take off our blinders and work with peripheral vision. We might need to get out of our own way in order to embrace the advantages this day provides. We could find ourselves going through a real whipsaw with our duties, obligations and responsibilities banging squarely against wonderful surprises, unexpected situations and thrilling possibilities. As the day progresses, the push – pulls of dichotomy can drop away for the Moon goes Void-of-Course for twelve hours making no further connections to the planets as it finishes its transit of Scorpio before entering Sagittarius.

Thursday, May 31st – Here, There – Sagittarius Full Moon. May ends with the Sagittarius Full Moon. We may find ourselves being pushed and pulled between those situations right in front of us and those on the periphery of our lives. We could experience a great deal of nervous energy, trying to handle various things, all the while that we’re looking for a break away time and situation which allows us to get off the track and roam the four corners of the world. We could be champing at the bit, energized, ready to rock and roll but wondering whether to put our energies towards those things right in our own neighborhood or whether to stretch our wings and broaden our scope. We are increasingly feeling the Fire Grand Trine with Mars in Aries about to exactly trine Jupiter in Sagittarius next week and exactly trine Saturn in Leo the following week. We are also feeling the Mutable Sign T-Square with the Gemini Sun moving closer to opposing Jupiter and squaring Uranus, both exact next week. With all this energy jumping around, we too could be bouncing around, going here, there and everywhere. While slow down might not be in our vocabulary this week, it probably would be a good idea to pull in the reins now and then and not allow ourselves to be a runaway racehorse.

Friday, June 1st – Beyond the Blue Horizon – Lunar Grand Trine, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune. Friday could have us feeling at the top of our game. Confident and optimistic, we may feel as though nothing can stand in our way. We might really go for it today, stretching our wings and soaring on the air currents. This Friday feels the influence of the Fire Grand Trine as the Moon in Sagittarius trines Mars in Aries and trines Saturn in Leo. The Moon also conjuncts Jupiter prodding us to do more, more, more. The Moon also sextiles Neptune, so from our exuberance we might assume that all possibilities are not merely possible but inevitable. Where a problem could arise would be from any situations coming out of left field. The Moon squares Uranus, so we might find that unexpected variables come up that try to knock us off balance or knock us off the track. As long as we are willing to adjust our plans and be flexible to changing circumstance, the more we can use today’s ‘feel good’ energy to advance our interests and have a good time.

Saturday, June 2nd – No Stepping On Toes – Pluto, Mercury. Saturday could prove a little intense. We start the day with the Sagittarius Moon conjunct Pluto. We’re not looking for any naysayers to our plans or any parade rainers to dampen our spirits. If we find them, we’re likely to cut them off at the knees. We might awaken feeling indomitable and wanting to keep it that way. The Moon then moves into Capricorn where it opposes Mercury. Our thoughts may be focused on our home and family issues but we could also find that obligations earlier committed to are demanding our attention and needing to be attended to. Today is a day to keep our cool and recognize that we might have to do a balancing act. If we step on other people’s toes, we could find that they step back, and not stepping back but forcefully stepping on our toes. We need to channel our energy today and we could do so by restructuring our activities and streamlining our conditions. Even if we are committed to doing certain things, it is essential that we don’t move into resentment or allow them to exhaust us. Let’s deal with our commitments and then have time to do whatever strikes our fancy. By doing so, we can be more effective, productive and still have time for ourselves.

Sunday, June 3rd – Adaptability, Flexibility, Thinking Outside the Box – Mars, Uranus. Sunday can have us adamant about what we want. The Capricorn Moon squares Mars. While we may want what we want, we might be too pig-headed to consider alternatives and might try to bulldoze our way forward without consideration of our circumstances or the conditions. The Moon does sextile Uranus so the more we can get out of our own way and be open to the unexpected, the better this day will work for us. Sunday’s test may in deed be associated with the old conditioning of ‘mastering our universe’ and the new paradigm of ‘synchronicity’, whereby things come out of the blue. Today is a day to work with peripheral vision, be open to changing situations that might open new doors for us, and not be fixed or rigid in what we want or the ways we want it. These times speak to magic and miracles; those events, situations and conditions that are beyond the scope of the rationale or of our learned understandings. Today is a day to keep our antennae up and see what unexpected scenarios might develop.

June 2007

June… traipsing along, hardly touching the ground…

As we come into June, we may heave a sigh of relief. At least, I know I shall. This past month of May has been one of the most bizarre I’ve experienced. Replete with murder and mayhem, May for me was a month that truly typified the Saturn Neptune opposition that we’re dealing with.

Even when we feel that our plans are well considered, our intentions clear and our direction and itinerary direct and straight, we may find ourselves moving sideways, off to a tangent, backwards or moving forward only to fall back.

My intention and my plan for this past month of May was to make my semi-annual trip back East, go to Vermont, return to Connecticut, see clients, give my talk in Greenwich and to have a meeting with the President of a company I work with in New York. To paraphrase eighteenth century Scottish poet Robert Burns: ‘the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry’.

And so it was for my intended trip back East. I flew from Monterey to Denver and on to Chicago, only to be forced to end my trip East due to an emergency situation.

My apologies to those who I had planned and intended to see back East. My apologies also to those who have emailed me or phoned me in the past two weeks without my being able to respond. I shall respond but pressing matters have been demanding my attention.

With May behind us, and with a furtive look back, we can now look forward to June.

June starts with five planets in Fire Signs, no planets in an Earth Sign, two planets in Air Signs and three planets in Water Signs.
Three planets are in Cardinal Signs, two planets are in Fixed Signs and five planets are in Mutable Signs. Seven planets are in Positive Signs, three planets are in Negative Signs.

By Sign, there is a Grand Trine in the Fire Signs and a T-Square in the Mutable Signs.

The Fire Grand Trine has Mars in its own Sign of Aries trine Saturn in its Detriment Sign of Leo and trine the Stellium of three or more planets with the Moon and Pluto in Sagittarius and Jupiter also there in its own Sign.

We are likely to start June in high gear. We are looking at moving full speed ahead, expanding our involvements, taking on as much as we can possibly handle. And maybe even more. We are feeling optimistic, confident and ready to put our imprint on everything we do. We are on fire, focused on what we want to do and concerned with our own self-interests. With the emphasis on Sagittarius, we may be looking far afield, considering travel plans and interested in getting out of Dodge, stretching our wings and expanding our scope. We may feel energized, optimistic and brooking no interference to our plans. The only opinions we are interested in are those that confirm our beliefs. ‘Yes’ people are all well and good but it would be wise for us to also solicit the opinions of the devil’s advocate, someone who could point out possible liabilities and shortfalls in our thinking.

While our confidence might be strong, with the lack of Earth to begin the month, we could be stronger on bravado than competence. We may talk the talk but have difficulty walking the walk. Our focus on practicality and realistic evaluations can be lacking as we begin June.
We do need to watch for putting the cart before the horse. We could be feeling our oats and so energized that we don’t take into account possible variables. We might easily skim over details and specifics that may then trip us up.

We also begin the month with the T-Square by Sign in Mutable Signs with the Sun in Gemini square Uranus in Pisces and opposed the three planets in Sagittarius of the Moon, Jupiter and Pluto. With a T-Square needing the Fourth Element of that particular Quadruplicity to balance it off, our need for Virgo reinforces a sense that we might not be dotting the i’s or crossing the t’s. We could easily skip over details, gloss over the particulars and find ourselves caught up in a frenzy of activity without taking the time to plan, consider and define.

June also feels the influence of the Saturn Neptune opposition, exact toward the end of the month on the 25th. Separating fact from fiction might prove perplexing. We could easily misconstrue situations. Either we might fall into wish fulfillment to believe that all things are possible and take a quixotic journey without checking reality and the facts before we move ahead. Or we might feel ourselves in a catatonic state, assuming that we can only react to the shifting conditions and changing circumstances that seem to keep us hopping. With the Grand Trine in Fire and the Mutable Sign T-Square we could easily find ourselves flipping from one to the other --- up one moment, feeling at the top of the game and overwhelmed the next, struggling to keep it all together.

If we will go cautiously, judiciously and with a willingness to adjust our perspective and change our direction all the while evaluating our position, circumstances and conditions; then we are less likely to fall into some of the pitfalls of this month --- overconfidence, moving too fast and skipping over the details. While we have the enthusiasm to move mountains, let’s slow it down a bit and make sure that we’re taking care of the particulars. If we harness our energies, we can use our forcefulness in a structured and methodical manner to make quantum leaps in realizing our goals.

June is a month when we have to be extremely careful not to be seduced by the sirens of irrational exuberance. Let’s keep in mind the importance of healthy skepticism, maintain a constant objective observer stance and take everything, even our own enthusiasms, with a grain of salt.

On the 4th, Mars trines Jupiter followed on the 5th by the Sun opposed Jupiter and Venus moving into Leo. We may feel egged on to do more, adding further projects to our activities lists and convinced that we are invincible. People might become rather self-inflated now. We may find that our relationships are serving as a stage on which we can perform as we seek to be in the spotlight. Grandiose extremes could be in style, as people seek to put their best foot forward and one-up each other. While the uniqueness of individuality might be the flavor of the times, it could become nothing more than a sense of a maddening crowd with everyone elbowing to be in the center ring.
With the Jupiter influences, we might be on cloud nine, enjoying ourselves and having a good time. If we don’t budget our time and our finances, we could go into overwhelm and rack up significant expenses. ‘Moderation in all things’ would be a wise mantram to keep in mind but could prove an attitude that is swimming against the tide. Let’s focus on our personal best, maintain diplomatic decorum and pace ourselves.

On the 9th, the Sun squares Uranus. Unexpected situations can create twists and turns that demand we be nimble and quick by being in the moment and dealing with the spontaneous as things come up. We may find that we’ve pushed the envelope a little too far. Either we, or the universe, could demand corrective action to any excess in which we’ve engaged.

While we may feel pushed and pulled in different directions, around the 11th we can take a breather and give ourselves the time to critique and restructure our involvements. After several days of getting carried away by our enthusiasm, our feet can touch the ground. From the emphasis on Jupiter’s expansiveness, we now have Saturn’s structure and discipline to help us sort things out as the Sun sextiles Saturn, Mars trines Saturn and the Sun sextiles Mars, all on the 11th.
We can create solid foundations to our projects and practical means to achieve our desired results. We have the drive and the focus to accomplish a lot and do so with a pragmatic approach.

It would be nice to assume that once we get a handle on things, feel that they are measured and well thought out, we could go easily forward. But life is not always like that. We could find that our breather provides us a sense of foundation stones from which we can reach for our dreams. The only problem is that Neptune steps in on the 13th, both by means of the Sun trine Neptune and Mars sextile Neptune. Suddenly, our plans can go from realistic concepts to hoped-for fantasies by embellishing and adding on to them. We could get swept up in possibilities and prospects. We might leap ahead envisioning what could be and leaving behind what really is.

The potential for confusion can ratchet up as the Gemini New Moon on the 14th – 15th offers a broad spectrum of options. This New Moon reinforces the Mutable Sign T-Square with which we entered June, with the missing Element still being the Mutable Earth Sign of Virgo with its ability to analyze, focus and account for the specifics. We could find some alternatives under consideration might merely be seeking change for the sake of change.

Instead of adding on more activities, we might consider those involvements that truly interest us contrasted to those situations that are merely distractions. A spring cleaning to rid ourselves of the superfluous could be called for.

On the 15th, we have our second of this year’s three Mercury retrogrades. The first Mercury retrograde in mid-February through early March offered typical Mercury problems and issues with travelers stuck on an Interstate in Pennsylvania for over twenty-four hours and air passengers stuck in Jet Blue aircraft on the tarmac at JFK for over ten hours. This Mercury retrograde runs from the 15th through all of June, turning direct finally on July 9th. Our thoughts and communications can get a little fuzzy. Before we make any significant decisions, let’s check the details, review the matter and be certain before committing. With Mercury retrograding through Cancer, we might find confusion and issues associated with home, family, real estate and outstanding issues.

On the 19th, Venus trines Jupiter as the Sun opposes Pluto. We may feel as though our soul has been laid bare, and in compensation we may look to live for the day. Any discomfort within ourselves is likely to find expression in extravagance. We could spend too much, eat too much, even enjoy ourselves too much. We are being asked to engage our transformation, the shapeshifting of transitioning from the caterpillar into the butterfly. The process may not always seem comfortable and we could mask it by focusing on having a good time, no matter the expense.

Sobriety steps in as we enter Summer on the 21st with the Sun moving into Cancer at the time that Mars trines Pluto. Plans for the Summer include having a special time, vacation or activities, that will have real meaning and be remembered for all time. We don’t want to skim through life. We want the depth and passion of living that will make our heart sing. Although challenged by the Saturn Neptune opposition of fact versus fiction, we are better able to discern between the essence and the superfluous fluff.

Uranus turns retrograde on the 23rd followed by Mars leaving its own Sign of Aries and entering Taurus on the 24th. Much of our fiery energy can move from an impulsive self-assertiveness to a reliable and focused intent. We may do a certain amount of soul-searching, trying to find our true meaning in life and our purpose.

The end of the month ramps up the confusion level. We have a strong Neptunian influence at the end of the month. On the 25th, we have the third and final Saturn opposition Neptune that has dogged us since last Autumn. This configuration has created a questioning of our ability all the while being enticed by possibilities for our future. Old issues that have yet to be completed may pop up again, and we could find ourselves doing a walk down Memory Lane. We do have to watch for any element of revisionism where we view our experiences from an emotional perspective rather than true reality.

The potential for confusion at the end of June can be strong. We might question every step we take, even to the point of repeatedly changing our mind. If we will get out of our own way and stop evaluating ourselves, we could use the energy to formulate the means to achieve our objectives. The key is to maintain detachment and not personalize everything going on around us.

At the time of the Capricorn Full Moon on the 30th, Venus opposes Neptune. We may question our relationships. We could be seduced by appearance and might wind up looking for love in all the wrong places.

Under the influence of the Mercury retrograde and Neptune aspects, the end of June is not a time to have knee-jerk reactions but to count to ten before taking action. It would be best not to reach any definitive conclusions.

With little Earth providing practicality this month, the influence of the Saturn Neptune configuration throughout the month, and the Mercury retrograde for the second half of the month and into July, this month of June is a time not to be swept away in grand pursuits or assume that our projects and plans are going to easily work out. Maintaining caution and checking and rechecking this month are essential to keep us from stepping into situations that seem oh so good from the outside but could prove dangerous enticements and problematic illusions once the commitments are given.

June is a time to explore and test the waters, to take our walks done Memory Lane and reconnect in reunions and social gatherings, and to allow ourselves time of reflection and consideration before determinedly moving forward.
