April 1, 2007

April 2nd - 8th

This week there is a great deal of energy whipsawing us from one thing to another.

To start the week, the Libra Full Moon accents our relationships as Venus squares Saturn. Our personal needs may conflict with the interests of others, and we do have to watch that we're not drawing lines in the sand or harping on old slights.

Midweek, Mercury squares Jupiter, Venus squares Neptune and Mars sextiles Pluto. Jupiter turns retrograde and Mars enters Pisces. We could get caught up in a frenzy of activity. Let's not get carried away with wishful thinking or assuming that we can bend things to our will. It is important to go slow, carefully consider what is going on and not buy into the appearance without evaluating the true reality of the situation.

While our mind was sharp and insightful at the beginning of the week, emotions can influence our thinking mid-week.

Our relationships could be unsettling. We have to be careful that we're not doing the dance with the trickster, someone appearing one way, their true nature quite different.

The weekend offers a delightful respite, as Mercury sextiles Venus and the Sun trines Saturn. We can talk through relationship issues that may have been confusing and we can establish firm foundations by which to move our interests forward.

Monday, April 2nd – Me or Thee – Venus, Saturn, Libra Full Moon, Sun. Monday begins the week with the Libra Full Moon. The Libra Moon opposes the Sun in Aries. Relationship issues are highlighted. This accent is reinforced by Venus square Saturn. The balance between our personal needs and those of other people may be wobbly. We might find ourselves feeling restricted by the demands, or even the requests, of someone else. Social interactions today could be dicey. People may be blowing hot and cold, but certainly watching out for their own self-interests. Delays can come up. If we’re planning on meeting someone at a certain time, it would be wise to allow some cushion time providing flexibility to our appointment schedule. We might feel restricted regarding our resources today. This Monday is one when we could easily fall back on the suggestion that ‘when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping’. This day would be one to watch our finances and not do any impulse buying based upon a sense of frustration.

Tuesday, April 3rd – Good Times, Good Friends – Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, Mars, Pluto. This Tuesday can be an especially pleasant one, so long as we don’t get carried away with the euphoria of the moment. This is a good day for us to reach out to our friends and acquaintances and make plans or touch base with them. The Libra Moon sextiles Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto. The Moon also trines Neptune and Mars. This day can be a truly social day, and we might not be limited to only those around us. We could be reaching across the miles to spread cheer and good feelings to those at a distance. Tuesday is also a day to get it done, when we can figure out where we want to go and how we want to get there. We may feel enthused, a dose of Spring fever satting in, giving us an adrenaline rush but all amidst pleasant surroundings and harmonious relationships. People are likely to be looking good, presenting themselves at their finest. This Tuesday is a day to en joy, to stop and smell the flowers and to take the time to appreciate our friends and our loved ones.

Wednesday, April 4th – Over the Top – Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Neptune, Mars, Pluto. Wednesday has us at our peak energy level. Mars sextiles Pluto and we could be ripe to expand our reach and push our activities forward. We might even feel that we can move mountains today. Yes, we have the physical energy and vitality to make things happen. We do need to raise the question of: what things? Although we have the strength and will power to advance our goals, we also have two configurations that could pose problems for us. Mercury squares Jupiter and Venus squares Neptune. We could fall prey to over-enthusiasm, extravagant confidence and false optimism. Wish fulfillment could bedevil us and we could easily make assumptions not based upon true reality. We also have to watch our discernment of other people’s motives. We could easily be seduced by the trickster, the huckster, by the image and appearance without considering the substance and real conditions. Although we have the energy to move mountains, we may need to rein in our actions. It would be wise for us to carefully think things through, play the devil’s advocate, consider the liabilities as well as the possibilities. Once we have thought things through, then we can proceed to use our intense passions.

Thursday, April 5th – Stuck in the Middle – Lunar Grand Cross, Saturn, Neptune, Venus, Uranus, Mercury, Jupiter retrograde. Thursday has a Lunar Grand Cross in the Fixed Signs as the Scorpio Moon squares Saturn in Leo, squares Neptune in Aquarius and opposes Venus in Taurus. If we feel frustrated that things aren’t going our way, we need to watch that we don’t get resentful or petulant. We could be like a tornado whipping around, tearing things down. Hell hath no fury as a Fixed Sign Grand Cross with the Moon in Scorpio. Delays and blockages could be the order of the day. And with Jupiter turning retrograde, our sense of expansion and good times might be diminished. We might find our expenses more than we anticipated or budgeted for. We could be suspicious about people’s intentions, even to the point of questioning whether our friends are merely ‘fair weather’ friends. We may even feel victimized and sense that our desires and dreams have been dashed upon the rocks of outrageous fortune. If we want to go there, then there may be no solace or rest for us. BUT, and I raise a capitalized but, we have a choice. While the Grand Cross is operational, we could also choose to consider options and alternatives. The options and alternatives are offered us by the Scorpio Moon trining both Mercury and Uranus in Pisces. Yes, there must be, can be, and is a better way. If we will think outside the box, consider innovative means or new approaches, we could find that we don’t have to be tripped up, stuck or thwarted. On the contrary, we might discover that instead of banging into brick walls, we can merely walk around them. Today is a day to work with peripheral vision, be open to the unexpected and receptive to possibilities.

Friday, April 6th – Here Comes the Rain Again – Mars Pisces. Friday has Mars leaving Aquarius and entering Pisces, thereby creating a stellium of three or more planets in the Mutable Water Sign as Mars joins Mercury and Uranus in Pisces. This stellium is brief, for Mercury will leave Pisces next Tuesday on the 10th. But with Mars now in Pisces and the Sagittarius Moon square Mars today, if the forecast calls for rain, it may pour. Our emotions can be fraught. Our physical energy impacted by our emotional state. We may feel like Samson after a haircut, weak, lethargic, not feeling up to par. There can be emotional storms today, misunderstandings and hurt feelings. The best thing we can do today is not be reactive. Let’s cut ourselves and everyone around us some slack. If things are not clear, let’s ask for clarification before acting. We might not have the physical energy we had earlier in the week. Today is a day to check the conditions, go slow, check the conditions again, before proceeding with our activities or in any direction.

Saturday, April 7th – Making Preparations and Fixing Things Up – Mercury, Venus, Uranus. Saturday has Mercury sextile Venus and the Sagittarius Moon square Uranus. We can polish our image, get our wardrobe ready and make preparations for any holiday gatherings we might attend. Although we might have plans scheduled, we may also want to do something spontaneously, do something on the spur-of-the-moment. Saturday is a good day to straighten things up, do a Spring cleaning and then do something we had not planned for. If we are relying upon other people, we could be disappointed. Unexpected situations might crop up and the more we can be flexible and adapt to changing conditions, the less irritated we will be and the better we can enjoy our activities. This is a good day to attend to errands, take care of outstanding matters, and spruce up our homes, our wardrobe and our yard. Let’s prioritize our ‘to do’ list since we could discover unanticipated things for us to address before the day is through.

Sunday, April 8th – Putting on the Ritz – Sun, Saturn, Lunar Grand Trine, Jupiter, Neptune, Mercury, Pluto. Sunday can be a truly primo day. Everyone may be presenting themselves at their personal best. The Sun trines Saturn and the Sagittarius Moon creates a Grand Trine in Fire as the Moon trines the Sun in Aries and trines Saturn in Leo. The Moon also conjuncts Jupiter and Pluto, sextiles Neptune and squares Mercury. Whether we are in an Easter parade or not, people may be parading their Spring finery. This Sunday is a great day to have FUN. Recreational activities, pleasurable get-togethers and finding whatever those things are that put a smile on our face can be the focus of this Sunday. No rainmakers today, thank you very much. We’re looking for good times, seeking how we can show ourselves off, and putting on the ritz. Yes, this Sunday can have us feeling at the top of our game. Not only do we have the Lunar Grand Trine but we also have a Grand Trine with the Sun trining Saturn today and tomorrow trining Jupiter. Who could ask for anything more? We’re energized, vitalized and enjoying who we are, even to the point of tooting our own horn.

April 8, 2007

April 9th - 15th

We start the week with a 'feel good' attitude as the Sun trines Jupiter. We're optimistic, confident and looking to broaden our reach.

Where a problem could arise is that we may be caught up in our exuberance and not look at the fine print. Mercury squares Pluto. We could easily skip over details. And we don't want to hear from any parade rainers. We might easily buy into our illusions, our hopes and wishes. We might feel the naysayers to be jealous or seeking company for their misery. That's not for us.

Mercury enters Aries. We want what we want and we're willing to put our interests first and foremost. The Sun sextiles Neptune, and we can easily be swayed by what we want to occur. Venus enters Gemini. We're feeling light and breezy. “Let's live for the moment” may be our motto during much of this week.

With Venus leaving Taurus, we've lost our connection to the Earth element. Our practicality could prove minimal.

This week is a good week to dream our dreams, but let's not invest fully in believing that our dreams will magically come true. We can enjoy pleasant moments and allow ourselves to take a break from our daily routine. We don't want anything too serious, too heavy, or too great a responsibility. We may have a good dose of Spring fever, wanting to just lull about and enjoy ourselves without exerting too much energy.

Monday, April 9th – Flying High – Sun, Jupiter, Mars. Monday starts the week with us feeling on top of things, buoyant, exuberant, feeling good. We’re getting a dose of the Fire Grand Trine that’s been operating on and off for the past six weeks thanks to the transit of the personal planets through Aries. Today the Sun follows yesterday’s Sun trine Saturn with Sun trine Jupiter. We can be looking to expand our reach, express ourselves in a creative manner, and assume that everything is going our way. While we might be flying high, we’re not oblivious to conditions and situations. We may have our head in the clouds, but our feet are planted on the ground. We can thank the Capricorn Moon which today sextiles Mars for that. Monday is a good day to use our enthusiasm to move our plans and goals ahead. We have the confidence but we also have the ability of working smarter rather than harder. We can use our intuitive sense to figure out the most expeditious and practical approach to get to where we want to go. This Monday is not a day to waste. But we should also realize that whatever we begin today, or do, we need to be certain that our optimism doesn’t blind us to the specifics or the details involved. We could easily get carried away by our ebullience and assume that nothing can go wrong when everything feels so right.

Tuesday, April 10th – Get off of My Cloud – Mercury, Pluto, Uranus, Sun, Mercury Aries. Tuesday has Mercury leaving Pisces and moving into Aries. On one level, this change in sign could provide some relief. Mercury is not comfortable in Pisces, being in its Detriment. Elements of confusion, mindless meanderings of thoughts and ideas, and miscommunications and misunderstandings can fall away. We can concentrate our attention on ‘Me’ and our own personal ‘Mine’ world. We could get a little self-absorbed and may put other people’s concerns on a back burner as we become far more interested in our thing and our springtime new beginnings. Before Mercury exits Pisces, it does square Pluto. Not only may we be adamant in our opinions but our tongue may be razor sharp and we can let people have a good verbal thrashing. If we have felt slighted, hurt, misunderstood, we might rear back and let loose with a verbal barrage. The only trouble with that is that we might have misconstrued the situation and could be either firing blanks or aiming at the wrong target. We could also find that in our confidence and enthusiasm we have skipped over certain important details. This is a day when a big eraser might be called for in order to correct errors caused by haste or blind faith. Fortunately, we have the Capricorn Moon which squares the Sun and sextiles Uranus. While we might feel we have egg on our face and could have a sense of being pulled up short by our over-optimism, we can all consider alternatives that might prove far more effective. If we can be flexible and willing to make changes, we could find that alternatives provide more streamlined methods to achieve our goals. Tuesday may prove an important review day, one of those ‘re’ days when we can rework, reconsider and redo situations that we might have thought were completed.

Wednesday, April 11th – Daydream Believer – Sun, Neptune, Venus, Mercury, Venus Gemini. Wednesday is a visionary kind of day. Today is a good day to let our minds wander and to enlist all possibilities. Not that we should act on every thought or idea that passes through our heads. Instead it would be good to allow ourselves to see our options and our alternatives without feeling the call to action to make things happen. This Wednesday is the 11th, a master number in Numerology that speaks to the visionary, the mystic, the person who has their ear to the railroad track and can perceive trends, tendencies and potentialities. This energy is certainly augmented by today’s planetary aspects with the Sun sextile Neptune. Early in the day the Capricorn Moon trines Venus and then the Moon moves into Aquarius where it sextiles Mercury. If we can take this day and not overly plan it but rather, like a leaf on the wind, allow ourselves to float and fly according to whichever way the wind blows, we can enter a magical world beyond our preconceived notions and accepted reality. We can appreciate the mystery of life, the synchronicity of living whereby we don’t always have to make things happen as much as being open and receptive to the wonders of the universe. We might get some startling insights, see ways for ourselves that we might never have seen before. In many ways, this Wednesday could prove a magical day if we are willing to step off the track, enjoy a ‘mental health’ day and embrace the renaissance that the Spring season offers as evidence. Late in the day, Venus exits Taurus and enters Gemini. We have now lost our connection to the Earth element until the 20th when the Sun moves into Taurus. Increasingly, we may find our social interactions have us scurrying from one place to another, spending a little time here, a little time there. We are far more interested in tasting many different connections rather than a singular focus right now. We do have to be careful that we’re not so ‘in the moment’ that we don’t consider the ramifications or consequences of our immediate reactions.

Thursday, April 12th – Fact or Fiction – Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, Sun. Thursday could have us doing the dance on the balance beam between appearance and reality. Today we engage the opposition of Saturn Neptune which, if we’re not cautious, could prove our nemesis. This Saturn Neptune configuration is one that demands we separate the chaff from the wheat, the image from the truth, the fact from the fiction. The Aquarius Moon opposes Saturn and conjuncts Neptune. We may feel our past and our responsibilities to be restrictive. We might seek greener grasses assuming that if we merely change the parameters, it will also change the conditions. The Moon also sextiles Jupiter in Sagittarius and the Sun in Aries. We could easily fall under the influence of our self-confidence and our desires to have what we want when we want it without taking into account the reality of the situation. Today we might be tested. The test may be one of deciphering whether we are dealing with the true reality of a situation or if we are engaged in a delightful fantasy that leads us down a garden path of hidden brambles and snares. Thursday is a day for us to go slow, to maintain discernment and not fall for the illusions of the trickster, buying into the appearance without determining the reality.

Friday, April 13th – Le Deluge – Pluto, Venus, Mars. Early in the day, the Aquarius Moon sextiles Pluto. We may awaken with great intent to spread our wings, broaden our expanse and start new projects with great aplomb and passionate determination. Nice concept, but we could also be starting off on a quixotic journey whereby we might be heading off into a never, never land of possibilities never to be realized. Or we could stub our toes and our forward advances be halted. Although less enjoyable, the latter situation would be far preferable in the long run. While we might have a thrust of energy this morning, it would be wise for us to check our roadmaps of both our destination and our itinerary. As the day progresses, the Moon moves out of Aquarius and enters Pisces where it squares Venus and conjuncts Mars. Unless we have taken a moment to go over our list of scheduled activities for the day, we could rush headlong into the day without giving thought as to where we’re going or how we’re getting there. We could also find ourselves taking on more than we had anticipated, forced to juggle various projects or activities, yet not prioritizing those that are important and eliminating those that are superfluous. We could find ourselves drenched by the amount of things we have to do today. And if the weather calls for rain, the precipitation could be fierce. Friday is a day to slow it down. Fat chance seeing how we’re all engaged in a T.G.I.F. [thank goodness it’s Friday] mode, trying to not only accomplish that on our plate from this week but also clearing the slate so we can be free to add new things and new interests for our weekend ahead. Let’s not exhaust ourselves today and let’s create a list of what really needs to be done and those things that could wait.

Saturday, April 14th – Twists and Turns – Uranus, Jupiter. Saturday is a day when we want to do what we want to do. Today is a far better day to have a blank canvas, not have many plans and be able to do things impulsively, even impetuously. The beauty of life is living in the moment, being open to whatever comes our way and the ability to take advantage of opportunities as they arise. Saturday is a great day for us to do so. The Pisces Moon conjuncts Uranus and squares Jupiter. Our interests could shift and our plans may change today. Making the time for us to do things on the spur-of-the-moment would allow us to embrace the magic of life. Even if we’re totally committed to a schedule today, it may not go according to rote. Let’s keep in mind the saying that ‘if you want to make god laugh, tell god your plans.’ This Saturday is a day of twists and turns. But it is also a day when we might have to make choices between doing one thing or doing another. Some of us may try to do it all, to take the whole enchilada and devour it. Trying to do too much today could lead us to feeling bloated, overwhelmed and even heartburn. Let’s keep in mind the concept of choices which means, at times, an either or scenario. Flexibility today allows us to take advantage of those situations that truly appeal to us.

Sunday, April 15th – Endings Beginnings – Pluto, Venus. Sunday offers us the embrace of life itself with endings and beginnings. In true reality, endings and beginnings may not always be clearly defined as much as melding from one to the other. Sunday starts with the Moon in Pisces square Pluto. We might feel a little out of sorts as we awaken. We could have a sense of being victimized, forced to be reactive rather than proactive. Our emotions could be raw, especially if we exhausted ourselves from yesterday’s twists and turns. Although we might want to linger in bed, our sleep state might not prove as restful as we would like. We could reflect on things that have gone on. It would be important not to harbor ill-feelings, however. If we were to do so, then it may likely cast a pall on the day which as it proceeds seems to brighten considerably. The Moon moves into Aries where it sextiles Venus. Although we might awaken out-of-sorts, after a good breakfast and a refreshing shower, we could find that we’ve washed away many of our cares and concerns and are ready to start anew. As Sunday progresses, we might focus on things that appeal to us. We might start new projects or begin new adventures. We might stretch our wings and try something different that catches our fancy. Sunday is a good day to tie up loose ends early in the day and then to ready the seeds to plant of new interests. Let’s remember that tomorrow is a different day, and tomorrow gives us another whack at the Fire Grand Trine.

April 15, 2007

April 16th - 22nd

This week can be a highly productive week. We may feel as though a boulder has been lifted and that we can move forward with power, determination and passion.

The early part of the week has the Aries New Moon trine Pluto. We're feeling good and we're able to see the distant horizon. We know where we're going and we have the drive and the desire to get there.

The Sun trines Pluto just as Saturn ends its four and a half month retrograde cycle. With Saturn direct, we could find that recent delays and obstacles are being removed. We may feel like we can start to make forward progress.

We also pick up some Earth as the Sun enters the Fixed Earth Sign of Taurus. Our passions can now be made manifest, for we're looking at taking our dreams and bringing them into form. Now is a time for us to plant the seeds of those projects we want bring to fruition.

On the weekend, we have both Mercury trine Saturn and Mercury trine Jupiter creating a Grand Trine linking up all three Signs of the Fire Element. We can expand our operations in a methodical, creative and structured manner.

Now is a time when we can engage brain and brawn. We have the ingenuity, the passion and the energy to be highly effective. We're working smarter not harder. We can get more done with less expenditure of energy.

Monday, April 16th – Top of Our Game – Mercury, Lunar Grand Trine, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune. Monday starts the week with us at the top of our game. While we are in the dark of the Moon in eager anticipation of tomorrow’s Aries New Moon, today gives us the Aries Moon conjunct Mercury, sextile Neptune and creating a Fire Grand Trine by the Aries Moon trine Saturn in Leo and trine Jupiter in Sagittarius. We’re pumped, ready to expand our activities and to express our creativity. While our thoughts revolve around our personal interests, we can present our desires in a manner that could prove appealing to others. This Monday could be renamed ‘Me’ Day as we seek to do whatever pleases us. With so much Fire, we need to be careful that we don’t burn ourselves out. This is a good day to consider new projects and prepare ourselves for full speed ahead. With tomorrow’s New Moon and Saturn turning direct on Thursday, all stops are out and we’re ready to go into turbo drive. This Monday we can do the preparation work, see who’s with us and those who are a’gin us. We may feel energized and ready to launch forward. Let’s remember that timing is everything. The more we can line our ducks up in a row, lay back and wait for the launch period, the more successful our new projects will be.

Tuesday, April 17th – New Day Dawning – Aries New Moon, Pluto. Tuesday gives us the Aries New Moon just before the Moon slips out of Aries to enter Taurus and a few days before the Sun finishes its transit of Aries to enter Taurus. This Aries New Moon of the Sun Moon conjunction trines Pluto. We are looking for activities that allow us to expand our scope, to put our individual imprint on things and to add true meaning and a real purpose to our lives. We’re not fooling around. We’re looking to go for the gusto, not the fluff. Our drive and determination can be unstoppable as we seek to rebuild or build anew. We’re looking to build upon rock not upon sand. Whatever we put our energies towards, we’re driven to accomplish our goals. There’s a new day dawning and this New Moon truly kicks off the New Year for each of us. We may feel that we’re being asked to realize our destiny, as though the baton of what we have come in to do during this lifetime is being handed to us. While we may have a missionary zeal to advance our interests, it would be wise for us to be judicious in our actions. Taking things step by step, being certain that each step is solid and focused, will allow us to build for our future and build upon rock. If we try to move too fast, assume that we’re divinely inspired, we could find ourselves on a quixotic journey, tilting at windmills and merely building upon sand.

Wednesday, April 18th – Rolling the Boulder – Mars, Uranus, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Neptune. Wednesday is a day when our choices are evident. Think outside the box and use alternatives and options in order to move forward. Or try ‘same old, same old’ to arrive at a prescription for frustrations, delays and potential disaster. The Taurus Moon sextiles Mars and Uranus. If we will make changes to our plans, be resourceful with our time and streamline our operations, then we can be successful at adapting to changing conditions. Failing that, we could find ourselves banging our head between the wall of reality and the wall of illusion. The Taurus Moon creates a Fixed Sign T-Square with our recent, present and future nemesis of Saturn opposed Neptune. Fact or fiction stares us in the face. Although we might have to stare the dichotomy down, we also don’t have to go there. There is a third way and that way is being open and receptive to the unexpected, the unanticipated, and allowing ourselves to do something other than that which might seem appropriate at the moment. If we are to avoid getting stuck in a quagmire, then we need to work with peripheral vision. Let’s keep in mind the saying: ‘Look and you will see. Listen and you will hear’. Same thing for us today. We don’t have to master the universe. Rather it is important that we notice the signposts and then make our decisions and take our actions based upon new and more relevant information.

Thursday, April 19th – Break Out – Sun, Pluto, Saturn direct. Can we hear a ‘hallelujah’? I would say so. For this Thursday has the Sun trine Pluto reinforcing the signature of Tuesday’s New Moon and with it we have Saturn turning direct. One more ‘hallelujah’ as we end the Saturn retrograde. Winter is truly over and many of the delays we might have experienced since early December when Saturn first turned retrograde may truly drop away. We can now take our creative interests and make them far more real. Our self-doubts, questioning of our creative ability from others, and our general lethargy and fatigue can fall away. And with the Sun trine Pluto, we have the will power to make our dreams come true. As if a weight were lifted from our shoulders, we can pursue our objectives with power, panache and a focused methodology. Could we have one more ‘hallelujah’ as we recognize the goodness of life and the beneficence of the universe? We can enter a break out period when we can make rapid advances to achieving our goals.

Friday, April 20th – Here, There And Everywhere – Sun Taurus, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, Lunar T-Square, Mars, Uranus, Jupiter. Friday seems to have us all over the place. That might seem natural with a Gemini Moon. But a Gemini Moon with so many aspects! That would seem like the Energizer bunny on steroids. Today we may not stop for a moment as we hustle from one situation to another, to yet another, and so on. The Sun moves into Taurus giving us some necessary grounding, as we get a planet back into an Earth Sign. Despite the Sun urging us to take our seeds and plant them in a disciplined, slow and dependable manner, we’ve got this Gemini Moon pushing us, prodding us and impelling us forward. The Moon today conjuncts Venus, sextiles Mercury, sextiles Saturn and trines Neptune. Added to the harmonious aspects that the Moon makes today, the Moon also creates a less harmonious, even adverse, Mutable Sign T-Square as the Gemini Moon squares both Mars and Uranus in Pisces and squares Jupiter in Sagittarius. Extreme, excessive, over-the-top are all mild characterizations of what this day could be like. This Friday could be a nonstop day when we hardly have a chance to catch our breath. We may be going and going and going. Our communications are strong and we might be sharing our next greatest idea to all concerned and everyone in earshot. The funny thing is that we could have a receptive audience to our discourses. What we do have to watch for are glossing over things, doing too much and wearing ourselves out. It could be exhausting just thinking about all the energy flying around today.

Saturday, April 21st – Bright Ideas – Grand Trine, Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto, Sun. Saturday offers us the Fire Grand Trine again. This time Mercury in Aries trines Saturn in Leo and trines Jupiter in Sagittarius. Our conversations can sparkle with scintillating thoughts and uplifting ideas. We can feel upbeat and inspired. Our mind may wander into vast reaches beyond our normal parameters. Optimistic and confident, we can blueprint our plans and figure out the steps necessary to realize our creative ventures. Our discussions can present our goals in both a passionate and determined manner. We know what we want and we know how to get it. The Gemini Moon opposes Pluto before the Moon moves into its own Sign of Cancer to sextile the Sun. We may have choices to make today, either / or alternatives of what we want to do and how we want to do it. We may find ourselves discarding some of our plans, especially those that are more obligatory than what we would prefer to do. As the day progresses, we could focus our attention on home projects and thinking of ways to fix up our living environment. This Saturday is a good day for bright ideas and practical, expansionary thoughts.

Sunday, April 22nd – Mother Earth – Mars, Uranus. Sunday is the 22nd, a master number in numerology representative of the ‘master builder’. Today is also Earth Day, the day when we take time to revere and respect the ground on which we walk. This Sunday has the Moon in Cancer, its own Sign, and trine both Mars and Uranus in Pisces. Today is a good day to plant a tree, to give back to our Earth Mother and to consider how we can be more conscious of our actions. In so doing, we might make changes to our living environment, moving things around and seeing how we can tread more lightly on the earth. Our sense of social action may be called forth as we seek ways by which to show our commitment to being good to ourselves, being good to one another, being good to our environment and being good to our earth. Today is a day when we can make conscious decisions to have less of a negative impact on our environment. We might open our home to friends and strangers alike. We’re feeling a communal spirit and looking to lay down the foundation stones for a healthy, clean and loving future.

April 22, 2007

April 23rd - 29th

Our minds are sharp this week, but our interactions with others could prove problematic.

Mercury sextiles Neptune. Our intuitive sense is strong and we can present our ideas in an appealing, even seductive manner. Not everyone may be appreciative, for we also have Venus square Mars. Someone might feel uneasy about us and try to block our progress.

Towards the end of the week Mercury trines Pluto and Venus squares Uranus. Our mind is penetrating. We can dispel any arguments against our viewpoint and win adherents to our side both by the force of our presentation and the incisiveness of our case. Unexpected situations might arise in our relationships. People may be acting like weathervanes, whichever way the wind blows.

Mercury enters Taurus and in so doing creates a Mutual Reception as Mercury enters the Sign ruled by Venus which is in Gemini, the Sign ruled by Mercury. We may be less taken with ourselves and more considerate of other people. Our contacts with others seem to improve, both as a result of a change in our attitude and because we're more attentive to other people's needs. Venus sextiles Saturn and then opposes Jupiter. By creating win-win situations, we can gain adherents to our cause and impress people with our determination.

At the end of the weekend, Mars conjuncts Uranus. Storm systems could be intense, whether emotional storms or climatic conditions. We need to be careful of rash actions and possible accidents.

Monday, April 23rd - Soggy Feelings - Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday can be a highly intuitive day or it could be a battle of people’s feelings. Mercury sextiles Neptune. Our communication skills can be highly adept. We can present our ideas in a fascinating manner and win adherents to our perspective. We can be spot-on figuring things out and reaching conclusions based more upon our sense of things than a rationale, reasoning approach. That would be in a perfect world, however, a world without cacophony, dissonance or the distraction of other people’s perspectives. And that could be a problem on this Monday, for we have Venus square Mars. No matter how diplomatic and accommodating we might try to be, we can’t always be in control of the reception by other people. Someone may have their knickers in a twist, creating problems where there are none, or countering our suggestions just to be contrary. This Monday could present relationship issues for us. We might get blindsided by those people whom we had assumed would be open and receptive. Maybe they’re just having a ‘bad hair day’ and want to express their upset by taking potshots at us. Not to worry. The energy today is not the strongest. Although the Cancer Moon squares Mercury early in the day, reinforcing emotional reactions to situations, even putting the brakes on some of our forward movement; the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over fourteen hours before entering Leo late in the day. Today is a far better day to dream our dreams, consider the possibilities and not get caught up in interpersonal adversarial relationships.

Tuesday, April 24th - Flying High, Laid Low - Sun. Tuesday has the Leo Moon square the Taurus Sun. We could be feeling our oats, wanting to put our mark on situations and looking to stand in center stage. We could easily get carried away with ourselves. We might feel like the Fool walking merrily along without considering the conditions or the circumstances of what we’re doing or where we are going. If we could restrain some of our enthusiasm, then we might also find that we could channel our self-focus into practical means and strategic methods to manifest our dreams. We might feel an internal battle going on today --- between a thrust of self-important energy and a more stolid, practical approach. The key is to blend the two and not to feel frustrated if things don’t go our way immediately and in the manner we would prefer. If we blueprint our day, we can accomplish a lot. But it is important for us not to rush off blindly with great intensity towards any of our plans without devising an itinerary and a grounded methodology of reaching our goals.

Wednesday, April 25th - Sharpening the Focus - Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune. Wednesday has the Leo Moon engaged with our nemesis of Saturn – Neptune which has recently raised, and will continue for a while to raise, the issue of reality versus appearance. Yes, fact or fiction is one of the key concerns for all of us right now. Appearance versus reality and the question as to whether the two can ever match. It certainly demands that we keep on our toes, and that might not be such a bad thing. It forces us not to accept things at face value but rather to take the time to look at a situation from all the various facets. This Wednesday has the Leo Moon conjunct Saturn and opposed Neptune. Instead of getting locked into a conundrum between image and substance, we can use the Leo Moon sextile Venus and trine Jupiter as an easy way out. Discussions with others and broadening our perspective might allow us to see a greater breadth of any situation. We’re likely to feel upbeat, although any delays could prove frustrating and then might even send us into a nosedive. Today can be a wild swing emotionally whereby we’re flying high one moment, only to be laid low the next. This day is like life itself with waves and troughs. Let’s ride the waves and make sure that we aren’t body slammed by the troughs.

Thursday, April 26th – Focused Intent – Mercury, Pluto, Venus, Uranus, Lunar Grand Trine, Sun. Thursday is a day when we can pull out all stops. This could prove the best day of this week. Mercury trines Pluto which gives us remarkable insight, virtually laser-like vision whereby our minds can pierce any situation and penetrate to the heart of every matter. We can be persuasive, our clarity of thought enhanced by the passion of our expression. This day is a great day to put our best foot forward. We do have to be attentive to signals, for we could get a curve ball thrown at us. The curve ball would come thanks to the Venus square Uranus today. People could act in uncharacteristic manners. Unexpected situations could arise --- chance meetings, a new spin on a person’s character and/or things fitting into interesting puzzles. Today is a day to think outside the box, consider alternatives and realize that there are options we might never have taken into account. The Moon in Leo creates a Fire Grand Trine as the Moon trines Mercury in Aries and trines Pluto in Sagittarius. Whatever is thrown at us today, we can hit a grand slam. We are feeling impassioned, on top of things and driven by an egoless passion. Today is a day when we can really put it all together. We just have to watch not to be thrown off track. We can encounter the unanticipated but we need to be able to deal with our day and surprising scenarios by being nimble and quick and appreciating our ability to handle whatever comes our way. Later in the day, the Moon moves into Virgo where it trines the Sun. From our clarity of mind, we can now plant seeds. We can take our dreams and manifest them into reality. Yes, this Thursday can be a primo day, at the top of the charts.

Friday, April 27th - Juggling all the Time - Venus, Saturn, Lunar Grand Cross, Mars, Uranus, Jupiter, Mercury Taurus. Friday could have us feeling like the Mad Hatter, rushing around feeling as though we’re late for a very important date. Today has Venus sextile Saturn, a nice configuration that allows for structured and focused interpersonal contacts. If we use other people as sounding boards, we might come up with the right answers and devise the most appropriate solutions. The key word is ‘if’. We could also find ourselves caught up in a whirlwind of activity thanks to the Lunar Grand Cross in Mutable Signs as the Virgo Moon opposes both Mars and Uranus in Pisces and the Moon squares Venus in Gemini and squares Jupiter in Sagittarius. We might want to cover all the bases and then some. We have to watch for an element of overwhelm. We can juggle but we might find ourselves adding more and more balls to keep in the air. Today is a day to blueprint and to act from our outline of activities. We could go on spontaneous and then open a Pandora’s Box of racing from one thing to another to yet another without taking care of the specifics or addressing the details. This Friday is one when we may need to slow down and not move too fast. A plan of action and timing our different involvements will keep us on track. This is day when we can accomplish a great deal so long as we’re not thrown off track and diverted from our primary focal points. Otherwise, we could end up in a free-for-all. Mercury moves into Taurus today, adding a second planet in the Earth Sign of Taurus and thereby providing more grounding. With Mercury moving into Taurus, we have a Mutual Reception between Mercury and Venus, for Mercury is now in the Sign of Venus with Venus being in the Sign of Taurus. We can be far more considerate of other people’s points of view and more diplomatic regarding how we present our interests.

Saturday, April 28th – Stretched to the Max and Beyond – Venus, Jupiter, Pluto. Saturday has Venus opposed Jupiter. The two good guys of the zodiac could be spelling out excess in capital words – EXCESS. Whether it is our plans, our social activities, our involvements, today is a day when we could take on more and more without realizing that we’re doing so. With this stretch of ours, we could be stretching ourselves and our resources thin. It doesn’t help that the Virgo Moon squares Pluto. We have a lot of Mutability today, but all of it seems to be taking us to the limits and beyond. This day could prove extreme --- on an emotional basis with people drawing lines in the sand and seeing things in black and white. It can be extreme in our indulgences and excesses. And it could be over-the-top in us wanting what we want without any consideration as to whether we’re being practical or not. We could buy into the assumptions that whatever we want we can make happen. Let’s try to restrain ourselves with the recognition that if we go too far out on the limb, we could have a nasty fall. Today and tomorrow could prove dicey. With the energy starting up on Friday, we might find that this weekend is like a snowball rolling down a mountain, gathering momentum, soon becoming an avalanche. Restraint and sobriety are important for us to keep a hold on ourselves during this wild swing of energy.

Sunday, April 29th – Accident Waiting to Happen – Mars, Uranus. We are in a period of excess and extreme. This Sunday gives us Mars conjunct Uranus. We should not be surprised to hear of flash floods and intense precipitation during this period. We also have to be aware of the possibility of threats and terrorist activities. There could even be problems associated with air travel today. This energy on this Sunday could be one when we really have to take things slow. Accidents could easily occur under this planetary configuration. People might be acting out, lashing out at anyone and everyone. Our energy may be ratcheted up severalfold so it might be a good idea to find an outlet in physical activity to vent some of our energy. But in the release of our physical energy we do have to watch for unexpected conditions arising that might cause a muscle sprain or a twist or some other malady. We might want to do things on the spur-of-the-moment but it is especially important that we keep brain and brawn in healthy combination today.

April 30, 2007

April 30th - May 6th

This week starts as the month of April ends with Mars square Jupiter and Venus trine Neptune. We may want to stretch our wings and go in new directions, feeling supported by a soulmate connection.

This week may have us doing a dance between our security and our resilience. We could feel pressured balancing our financial resources and our daily life maintenance.

This week has the Scorpio Full Moon and with it a Fixed Sign T-Square. We may consider where we can cut the dross and eliminate the excess in our commitments and obligations. Spring cleaning is in order this week with clearing out the stuff, situations and even people that no longer serve us.

We could be caroming from one thing to another, for there are various pushes and pulls this week. Over the weekend, Mercury sextiles Uranus and Mercury squares Saturn. Thoughts of how we can do things more expeditiously can keep us from being ensnared in outdated methods. The 'tried and true' may have been tried but could no longer be true or effective in our today's environment.

Jupiter also trines Saturn this week as Venus opposes Pluto. We can devise the ways to broaden our scope and create a format to expand into activities that have greater meaning for us. We do have to watch our relationships. In our eagerness to clean house, we could find ourselves throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Extremes this week need to be avoided for we might get carried away in getting rid of things only to realize that some of the things gotten rid of still have meaning and purpose for us.

Monday, April 30th – Carried Away with Good Feelings – Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Neptune, Saturn, Lunar Grand Trine. Monday is a day that can be exuberant, even idyllic. Mars squares Jupiter. Emotionally, we could go through wild swings of enthusiasm and anxiety. Nothing seems too much and everything can border on the excessive. Let’s avoid stepping over the bounds or we could easily get carried away. Venus trine Neptune increases a ‘feel good’ quality. We could be in contact with friends and only see their sterling qualities, avoiding any blemishes. Our communications can be uplifting and filled with possibilities. We are enamored by our prospects and presenting ourselves in an ethereal even enigmatic manner. The Libra Moon creates an Air Grand Trine as the Moon reinforces the Venus Neptune trine by trining them both. The Moon also sextiles Saturn and Jupiter. This day can be an especially pleasant day. We might want to do a lot today, feeling energized and good about life and the different people that make up our world. Focused work may take a back seat to discussions and conversations. But our talk may be inspired and fun-filled and the day itself one of those great Springtime days.

Tuesday, May 1st – Stripping Away – Pluto. Tuesday begins with the Libra Moon sextile Pluto. We might be a good cheerleader to someone or find that someone can give us a kick start to get the day going. This thrust of energy can be pleasant for we can start the day with a song on our lips and a glow in our heart. The Moon then moves out of Libra and enters Scorpio in preparation of tomorrow’s Full Moon. We could feel more intense wanting to deal with things in an either / or type of manner. Today is a good day to deal with clutter and clear the decks, stripping away the superfluous in order to focus on the fundamentals and the essentials. We can work on a minimalist level, interested only in the practical and what works in regard to any situation. We might find that we’re holding our cards close to our chest, unwilling to reveal much, even a little suspicious of other people’s intents. We do need to watch that we don’t become defensive. Now is a time to take stock, take inventory and see where we can rid ourselves of things that no longer work for us or that have no real meaning to us.

Wednesday, May 2nd – Stability and Security or Not – Scorpio Full Moon, Mercury, Sun, Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Saturn, Mars. Today’s Full Moon is in Scorpio and could raise a number of issues regarding our sense of stability, the foundation stones of our security. If we have been oblivious to our expenses, we might discover that we have overspent. Let’s keep in mind that if we dance to the music, we pay to the piper. Budgets and a cold, hard look at our finances might be necessary. The Scorpio Moon creates a Fixed Sign T-Square by the Moon opposing both the Sun and Mercury in Taurus and squaring Saturn in Leo. We may feel blocked and frustrated by situations with a sense of having the wind knocked out of our sails. The key to the day is to think outside the box. While we have a T-Square in the Fixed Signs that can be daunting and delaying, the Moon also trines both Mars and Uranus in Pisces. If we are nimble and quick, we could deal with situations in a way that does not have to block us or restrict us. By thinking outside the box, taking the most appropriate actions as situations suddenly arise, we can be effective, productive and not hampered by outstanding issues or past matters. Today is a day when we may feel in a whipsaw between old limiting patterns and exciting new opportunities.

Thursday, May 3rd – Thinking About Things – Mercury, Sun, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Thursday has Mercury conjunct the Sun in Taurus. We can think things through, consider how we wish to proceed with our projects and find ways by which to maximize our dollar. We might have discussions with others, blueprint our strategies and be more reflective than proactive. There isn’t a great deal of energy today. The Scorpio Moon squares Neptune early in the day. We may not be operating at full steam, instead questioning our resources or our abilities to pull things off. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course making no further planetary connections for the next sixteen hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before entering Sagittarius. Whatever plans we might have for the day, let’s write them in pencil and be flexible enough to change them at will or to recognize that they might not come to fruition. We might want to push forward with our affairs, but let’s not have our determination get to the point of us banging our head against the wall. We become more enthused later in the day.

Friday, May 4th – T.G.I.F. Friday is a day when the Moon is in Sagittarius but without making any significant aspects. We might feel like spreading our wings and just enjoying a Springtime dalliance, widening our scope, broadening our vision and feeling exuberant about life. This Friday could be one where we look to getting off the track and adding some extra time to our weekend. If we can add on time to explore and roam today, that would be a good use of the energy. We might be presented with a pleasant interlude from the ups and downs of the energies operating all around us.

Saturday, May 5th – Push, Pulls – Mercury, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, Mars. Saturday is one of those days when we can be pushed and pulled between what we have scheduled and our desire to operate on impulse. Mercury sextiles Uranus but also squares Saturn. And the Sagittarius Moon adds to the conundrum by squaring both Uranus and Mars, trining Saturn, conjuncting Jupiter and sextiling Neptune. We could feel like we’re in a tug of war today. Our responsibilities, plans and demands on our time can run counter to what we truly want to do. We may awaken to startling insights and unexpected possibilities only to realize the ‘shoulds’ and ‘oughts’ of our planned activities. Even if we have to attend to certain planned activities today, let’s throw in a little spice of doing something on the spur-of-the-moment or out of character for ourselves. There can be a great deal of excitement today with some interesting surprises. Let’s be certain that we can take advantage of them and not feel locked into other people’s expectations.

Sunday, May 6th – In the Still of the Night – Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Pluto. Not too likely that our night will be still. On the contrary, we could experience something of a fitful night’s sleep. The Sagittarius Moon opposes Venus and conjuncts Pluto during the early morning hours of Sunday. Venus also opposes Pluto. Our relationships could be strained. We could be impassioned by our interconnections, and our contacts can be hot, hot, hot. But are they too hot to handle? Diplomacy in regard to our committed relationships and new connections seems important today. Our passions can be ratcheted up severalfold and we have to watch that we’re not too much for some people, or that some people are not too much for us. We could find that our interactions are either – or, either intense and passionate or intense and belligerent. Let’s not take any thing that someone says personally without checking the source and considering their agenda. Otherwise, we could find that good connections are irreparably harmed. Fortunately, we do have Jupiter trine Saturn today. We can use our exuberance and enthusiasm to find ways by which to solidify our creative projects and give a greater foundation to those areas that allow us to put our imprint on them.
